Kim Go Eun is Pretty and Pissed Off in April 2022 Edition of Harper’s Bazaar

Seeing this new pictorial with Kim Go Eun confirms why she has been so polarizing for K-drama viewers in her decade long television foray. She is a great actress in ability but she’s not a seamless chameleon who can play any role well. My favorite is when she’s got edges, is sharp, and definitely not asked to do cute unless it’s awkward cute. Her natural state is like this April 2022 edition of Harper’s Bazaar, sleek and simply elegant but isn’t trying to win people over with charm. She just “is” and I love that about her, so I’m super excited for the upcoming season 2 of Yumi’s Cells because that role has all the complexity and growth that she’s perfect for without being overly syrupy.

She does have range, even in the early days of her career I was astonished to see her play the title role in Coin Locker Girl and in A Muse, to the point it was easy to forget she was even the same person.

I love this shoot – she has the edge to pull it off and make it look natural, most actresses don’t.
