Kim Da Mi in Talks to Sign with Top US Agency UAA Which Reps Song Hye Kyo and Yoo Ah In — 11 Comments

  1. Not sure UAA is global agency though. It’s pretty
much a boutique agency even in K-ent standards though it has huge name stars. It was under the same management group as So Ji Sub’s and Son Yejin’s agencies a few years back.

  2. Top US agencies are UTA (united Talent Agency) who reps Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Harrison Ford, Susan Sarandon, Johnny Depp etc and CAA (Crative Artist Agency) reps Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Jen Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Zendaya etc.

But UAA (United Artist Agency) is a Korean based agency not a US global one? Did koala mixed up the the two US ones? Pls correct me if I’m wrong.

  3. Koala must have confused UTA with UUA. She blogged on KP Aug 14 2013 that Ha Ji Won signed with top US agency UTA to launch her international career.

  4. Unless her English is great I don’t see Kim Da Mi in good Hollywood roles. Very few Asian actresses made it. Liu Yifei, Gong Li, Zhang Ziyi all tried the crossover.

Apart from Bae Doona, Michelle Yeoh is more successful. Bond girl, The Lady, Memoirs of A Geisha, Last Christmas, tv series Star trek and The Witcher.

  5. Verified with Soompi article. Never once did Soompi mention it as global agency. Rather KDI is label mates with SHK and YAI.
