C-drama She and Her Perfect Husband with Xu Kai Reportedly Cuts Most of the Kissing and Romantic Scenes and Submits Again for Airing Approval
Man, it looks like oversharing and overshowing was the cause of the abrupt backlash on upcoming romance C-drama She and Her Perfect Husband. The drama starring Yang Mi and Xu Kai was scheduled to air last month before abruptly delaying the premiere a mere two days prior to release and now C-ent is reporting that the drama has gone back to the post-production chopping block to delete sexy scenes such as physical hugs and kisses. Reportedly most of the kisses have been cut and the drama re-submitted for airing approval. C-netizens are headdesking as am I because what is a romance drama without actual romantic skinship?!? This backlash from the authorities likely happened because fans of the drama was hyping up all the skinship with lots of BTS pictures posted of the scenes being filmed and when the trailer was released the production included a lot of romantic scenes. Perhaps next time keep it all on the downlow, get the permit, and then release the actual drama that was made for the viewers as intended.
This will lead to the death of chinese romantic dramas. Something similar with a few other dramas , like romance of the little forest. Not going to watch it butchered like this.
Agreed! Shifting to Korean and Japanese dramas now because Chinese dramas too lame!!!!
Not watching if they cut all that out. What is point without skinship.
Agree!!!
Some Chinese Dramas have changed their titles right before airing, lately. They should rename this drama “She and Her Perfect Platonic Roomate.”
China will not stop until every Chinese feel nothing but unhappiness when they are watching TV. It’s been decided that actual entertainment is bad for communism and that will not be tolerated. lol
Will not watch She and Her Perfect Husband now that the kissing and hugging have been cut.
WOW!!! I’m truly lost for words. I’m literally sitting hear shaking my head. Yea. It looks like I might not be watching Chinese shows if they are going to start making shows soo platonic.
This is just dumb. Like what do the communist think skinship will lead to, revolt?
Well if this another A romance of the little forest they can keep it
I agree what’s a romance screen without romance skinship! I was so excited to watch this drama, because of the 2 main characters. Annoyed!
That’s too bad. Channels will loose viewers. Romance is what we look forward. So disappointed.
I hope those busybody fans are happy now? I am also not watching this drama now. What stupidity is this?
They Have No Problem with Male on Male skinship…Stupid….Love is physical….
This is why we need a DVD director cut release
With all of the streaming nonsense, this should be a things again.
Honestly I don’t think intimacy can only be done by showing the act, they can implied it like the old folklore of Asian drama and it can be great but cutting scenes means that they have nothing to show now. How should we know what has happened.
I think that they should keep those romantic scenes. Viewer’s who watch these romantic dramas for releasing there stress and pressure from there life without any romance between main leads will only make the opposite effect to the drama and the industry will lost the audience from them now a days so many of the k-dramas has standing in top position because they won’t change mager part because of kiss and skinship so the production must think what the viewers want and they have to deliver it to the audience.
Why are you all so convinced that this melon is true?
Right? Falling into you was swimming in very strong skinship scenes and it aired just fine.
Falling into you is a Taiwananese drama not from mainland China so different.
So sad. It would have been so exciting to watch the sparks fly. Oh well, I will watch and support two of my most favorite actors and their production. I am sure that their acting abilities will shine through no matter how big brother censors the drama. Can’t imagine living under that kind of control.
Falling into you was full of fantastic scenes, kudos to the director so it seems weird.
