Lee Min Ho as Jung Hyeok and Ahn Hyo Seop as Dokja Make Dream Dual Male Lead Casting for Big Budget K-movie Adaptation of Omniscient Reader Viewpoint

I don’t know if this is meta reality become real reality but the long rumored fandom casting for a live action adaptation of hit webtoon Omniscient Reader Viewpoint has come true. K-ent is reporting that Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop are in talks for the movie(s) based on ORV with the former as webtoon within a webtoon male lead Jung Hyeok and the latter as the story itself male lead Dokja (his name means reader). There will be more than one movie with original concept doing 5 movies but it will all depend on how well it’s adapted and whether its a hit. There is more than enough arcs for multiple movies and while I loved ORV it did get a bit repetitive (rinse and repeat) around late last year and I’m still a few months behind on catching up. But bravo for the production company for landing this epic perfect visuals casting.

  2. I think LMH is too old for this role despite fitting visually and acting-wise (especially if he acted like he did in City Hunter). I can’t think of any younger actor who fits though. As for AHS, I don’t think he suits Dokja at all.

    • Yep totally agree I think the chemistry of the characters are important. I don’t hate actors cause of their acting but I don’t like when they choose actors out of popularity. I hope they choose wisely. Also the height difference is a problem too. 😔 💢

  3. IMHO as someone who’s never even heard of the web toon, I hope LMH is the character in the poster with the sword. AHS can be the guy who enters the toon but I’d rather see LMH cast as a warrior-hero type.

  4. I’m indifferent to both actors but actually think both fit their roles perfectly and so it makes me excited for this even though I usually don’t like live adaptations. I just hope they don’t ruin the story and other characters.

  5. I’m indifferent to LMH although I like him in City Hunter. That’s it. But I’ll watch anything AHS in it. AHS may not be the best actor still with a lot to improve. But he is charismatic on screen and I enjoy watching him. LOL

  6. Both are bland af and bad actors to boot. I’m shocked ahs keeps getting lead roles for his super basic acting skills whereas the other 98 born talents stay stuck in mediocre roles. He probably has a really good agency/manager that has an eye for roles that can boost his image. Lmh Is one of the most overrated actors of his generation.

    • Ugh! I thought the childish fan-wars had ended years ago dude we are 20 years into this and going soon 2 decades people have grown out of this and heck fandoms have grown out of it meaning they themselves have now become parents time is moving fast and this is not 2009-14 anymore.. LMH’s notorious fandom are now parents themselves and you won’t see them anymore and it has been like that for years time doesn’t stop for anyone. LMH is a charming actor let him do his thing..

Just enjoy what you can and let the past be the past and remember it for the good times. The dust has settled long time ago

    • Everyone has an opinion like everyone has an ass but you know what if you’re an actor everyone buses their ass to act That’s What actors do they try to do their best this is what these actors are doing they’re acting that’s their job good luck guys

    • Ah yes, poor Ahn Yeo Seop potentially co-starring with one of this generation’s most popular and most successful actors lol

Seriously tho, I’m not even a fan of Lee Min Ho (he’s kinda overrated, ngl, lol), but your comment is objectively not true lmao
Say what you want about the guy, but Lee Min Ho is a certified A-lister while this Ahn Yeo Seop dude just always ride on the popularity of his female co-stars lol, if anything he’s the lucky one to be co-starring with LMH

  8. I wrote a comment saying that an actor is an actor and everyone has an opinion like everyone has an ass you said I already said that common and no I didn’t so first time I’m commenting okay so no I didn’t already say this comment and actors are acting busting their ass just like everybody has a job busting their ass I’m not Korean I’m American and I love you movies anybody that’s taking their time to do their job they’re great I love Korean movies I think they’re on the phone good luck do your best that’s all I ask thank you

  9. I’m not very into kdrama so I don’t really know the reputation both of these actors hold, but as an ORV reader, I’m really passionate in my opinion that LMH does not suit the image of YJH. LMH is wayy too diff of looks with YJH, YJH is repeatedly described as godly and perfect with killer aura, LMH just doesn’t capture that. He’s way too average looking and way too old to be casted as YJH, also I just personally he hasn’t got the looks to be YJH.

I don’t have much bone to pick with AHS, but he is way too tall to be KDJ, considering YJH and KDJ are also supposed to have a 8cm or 8in height diff, so it might be better to cast someone shorter for him. In terms of looks I like AHS, I think he suits the image of KDJ quite well.
