Filming Wraps on Xianxia Romance Drama Love of the Divine Tree with Deng Wei and Xiang Han Zhi
Another C-drama has wrapped filming but with the long lead time in production it probably will be a 2025 airing. The drama is titled Love of the Divine Tree (Chinese title xian tai you shu or Tree on God’s Platform 仙台有树) and stars Deng Wei and Xiang Han Zhi, so a fresh pairing and those wanting different faces in C-dramas here’s your wish. It’s adapted from the same name novel and has a reincarnation and master-disciple romance line. I’m solid with both leads especially Deng Wei after Lost You Forever where now I think he can handle the male lead leveling up.
I look forward to see how DW does as main MC and even more excited to see the fanwars/hate campaigns because he is the kind of guy that make people go sickly insane.
The main FL is done by an actress who have just a couple of dramas that I enjoyed. She acts well enough.
I went to search the basics about the novel. The criticism seems to be majorly positive and it got a high score on Douban.
It doesn’t matter much because screenwriters have the amazing talent to ruin stuff and censorship doesn’t help.

I want to watch it for Deng Wei since he’s been supporting with 2nd lead roles and does have the acting chops, but I dislike master disciple storyline. I’ll probably wait to see how the trailer is.

Why do you think that? What evidence do you have? Not only he looks like an angel sent from the heaven, he is a great actor. He is working every day to improve himself, maybe you should too.
