The clothes, yes that’s important, but the hair is transformative in sealing the fashion deal. C-actress Tian Xi Wei has been openly changing her image from her debut of cute girl-next-door looks into the iteration of cool edgy fashionista. She was actually one step ahead of Wang Chu Ran also making the same change though for Wang Chu Ran it’s more her rep took a hit last year and she wants a different start. For Tian Xi Wei her personality is actually very tomboyish and known for being as crass as the guys so her onscreen image her agency crafted for her didn’t fit her. She’s also hoping for a big hit with her next drama Guardians of the Dafeng with Dylan Wang so changing her image before the drama airs is a savvy decision.
Wow, she’s really pretty and natural looking – like a combo of Tang Yan, Jeon Ji Hyun, and Jang Wonyoung.

She actually pulls it off nicely. She looks so much better like this than being a cutesy girl.
If her drama with Dylan is well written and directed, I will be in. Each of her past dramas was a miss to me but I don’t dislike her. Same goes for Dylan too.
She does do the blunt front bangs well. Not everyone can. She has this voice that’s both cutesy and raspy. I don’t even know how to describe it accurately. I don’t think she purposely tries to be cutesy, but her overall looks in dramas that I’ve seen so far give off that vibe. She also has those big doe eyes going for her. I think she’s a pretty decent actress though. I’ve seen her in a few (New Life Begins, Romance on the Farm) where I don’t think they were the best dramas, but entertaining enough to have in the background and not really miss anything.
I agree with you about her voice. I’m not sure if I would describe it as raspy, but her voice has a bit of a creak to it, so it doesn’t sound too cute or sweet or feminine. I like her a lot. Given her cute looks, it’s easy to be skeptical of her acting skills, but she is pretty good. I love New Life Begins and Romance on the Farm, and her roles in them. I think she’s growing her career in the right direction and in such a natural way.
