Liu Hao Cun and Wang An Yu Confirmed for Modern Romance C-drama Be Passionately in Love

A new modern romance C-drama is cast and heading into production next month. It’s adapted from a popular C-novel Be Passionately in Love (陷入我们的热烈 Sinking into Out Heated Passion) and will star resurgent C-actress Liu Hao Cun with Wang An Yu. Her career is back on track thanks to the unexpected success of C-drama Derailment while his big break that was supposed to come with xianxia C-drama The Last Immortal not only didn’t happen but set him back half a step, but their pairing up here seems like right casting, right project, and right time. I’ll be keeping an eye out on this one.

  1. Interesting pairing. I thk Wang An Yu is better suited for modern dramas. Liu Hao Cun is pretty and seems to have some acting chops.
Will go find out the story of the source material.

  2. Oh thank goodness it’s modern. WAY should never ever do costume dramas ever again. That big long face they do to him is so bad. Such a disservice to his actual good looks.

  3. wang an yu please stick to modern dramas! he has such an emotive brooding ‘movie’ face, the xianxia world with all its exaggerations and excessive preening and filters just don’t suit him. please stick him in more emo modern love stories, with vibes like the recent one with li xian and zhou yutong.

      • I only saw Zhou Ye in Word of Honor and I agree that she’s not the greatest actress but she is very pretty. As for Liu Hao Cun, I have never seen her acting before so can’t judge on her.

  4. I’m open to this one two. She did show great acting potential in Derailment. She’s actually the best thing in Derailment. WAY has been bland so far. But visually he looks better in modern drama. His acting wasn’t over the top either that was bearable at least. If writing and directing is good, this could be something entertaining to watch. That being said, I kept checking out some new C dramas this year but all ended up dropping them all. LOL. Sigh..

  5. Derailment was very disjointed. It had no idea what it wanted to be. Too slow paced to be a suspense. Too little romance to be a romance. There was maybe one good episode when it flashback to their school scenes. Her acting was excellent, but everyone else’s was terrible. I don’t need a lot of skinship to sell love, but why for their 1 kiss he kissed his own thumb? Just don’t have a kiss, then. This new drama is called passionately in love. Let’s see…
