  1. William Chan’s nose is so obvious a bad plastic job that I cannot watch dramas with him. It just freaks me out because it’s so unnatural.

    • @Nope

OMG! You just spoke my mind. I have always thought it that way about his nose. It distracted me so much every time I watched his works. I dropped them also. Thanks. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

      • It’s actually his eyebrows for me. He’s one of the few actors that I just can’t watch, no matter how much I like his costar.

  2. William Chan tries too hard when he acts till it looks awkward to watch… But he is definitely a very stylist artiste who really dress very well and knows how to create his own fashion sense.

Him and Zhao Lusi is not a pairing I ever expect… So this new really surprised me. Anyway, the fandoms will have a blast again.. too many unhappy China fans in China who have become aggressive keyboard warriors.

    • True! We can’t even get top stars to work with each other now because of unhappy fans and billing issues. I want to watch the stars I like with each other and with equal billing…sighs…

  3. I LOVE this pairing even though there’s a 13 year age difference between both actors. ZLS can portray mature youthful characters and make the chemistry work like she did in Dating in the Kitchen when she was younger than she is now. She’s known to have good chemistry with older men, even when they act as a Father figure to her as in Gen Z. I’m so happy, really looking forward to this.

    • But that actor in dating in the kitchen can act, and to be honest, he is short but he has this appeal to him. William Chan acting is cringy so is his face!

    • Me too! I’ve watched them in the variety show Fairy Tale and they look good. I don’t the hate again Wiliam Chan. He is good looking and young looking despite his age. A lot of toxic fans here

  4. Is William Chan a desperate has-been now? Heโ€™s willing to be 2nd billed to a traffic star? Wow.

And really Li Xian? He too willing to be 2nd billed to Zhao Lu Si? What a joke

  5. I like this pair. Willam Chan worked with another young actress in A Date with the Future and his age was never a thought in my mind because he had such great chemistry with her.

  6. What is wrong with Rosyโ€™s agency?

Why are they pairing her up with all these old uncle actors instead of young actors her level like Xiao Zhan?

Donโ€™t they know that theyโ€™re ruining her actress reputation like this?

    • Because of billing. Sheโ€™s reached a point now where her team/fans refuse to be second billing or equal billing; famous actors her age are the same. So if you like two top actors, the chances of them collaborating are non existent.

      • They’re really going to limit her career if they always go by this theory. There are so many productions to be acted in and to be tried out if she’s willing to take second lead now and then. I wish actors would just choose scripts solely for the sake of the art, but since film making is a commercial venture designed for profit, I can’t blame them too much. It’s just such a shame that C-ent is such a toxic environment.

    • Xiao Zhan is above her level. That’s the problem actually.

Now he doesn’t act in dramas where she could act but if hypothetically she suddenly got cast in something serious with him, she would have to accept second billing and she doesn’t want that. Name any truly serious actor and they would all demand the same.

So if she wants to progress to better dramas with quality she has to bend and she isn’t willing and her fans aren’t willing. She can always change her mind in the future but there are serious young actresses coming up that don’t mind taking second billing now in order to advance their career and maybe by then it will be too late. Her choice.

      • Zhao Lusi has no problem with second billing. You can look at her filmography. Just last year, sheโ€™s second billing to veteran actor Wu Gang.

  7. Not an appealing pairing at all. If it’s about billing, there are plenty of good looking, talented, up and coming actors close to her age she could be paired with and whose agency would want the opportunity to work with a more popular traffic actress.

    • I am unsure about this pairing too….but who knows..it might work. Just keep expectations lower and be surprised.

    • In this drama the ML has a child of 13 years old when he married the heroine. Why would they cast a young actor for this role?!? Prod team had to cast an actor from 85 line
Also, it isnt a silly romcom, it’s not about youth or a young love, it treats mature themes

  8. I donโ€™t think this is about billing, they do need an older actor for the role. I donโ€™t know much about William, I havenโ€™t watched his works, but I guess it helps he wants to work with Lusi judging from his previous comments about her.

  9. I like this pairing. With an older fellow, Zhao Lu Si can finally show her more mature side and perhaps the writers can create a deeper, more complex character.

  10. What is this synopsis? I tried translating the pictures above but I am more confused. It’s like Chat GPT was told to throw every drama buzzword for character description.

  11. Why has she been pairing with unattractive actors lately? It’s not good for her to always hard carry her dramas along.
