I thought the kerfluffle over the Magnolia Awards nomination for Best Actor had died down, to which I mean Wang Yibo‘s fandom throwing an absolutely fit and melting down over Wang Yang getting the nomination for their drama War of Faith. This weekend it was reignited when the L’Officiel Hommes China cover and pictorial featuring Wang Yang was released. There is one shot of Wang Yang squatting on the lid of a toilet like he’s “stepping on the toilet” and that upset Wang Yibo fans because the insult moniker for their fandom is toilet. I shit (pun intended) you not. This is such an embarrassing 對號入座 (matching seat number and sitting in the seat) because by getting offended it’s like Wang Yibo’s fandom actually acknowledges the insult lobbed towards them as toilets. Of course the most likely explanation is that the entirety of Wang Yang’s pictorial concept and shoot was framed by the magazine and photographer and that’s all there is to it, no underlying meaning. But if it was an intentional troll then it’s absolutely brilliant lol.

If fans didnt take everything so seriously things would be so much fun. I dont like the divide chinese do serious/idol dramas, but watching the behavior of their fans i get why are they called idol actors. I have never seen actors fandom bahave so much like kpop fans like in Cent.
I thought that too last year, but after the whole Han Sohee’s saga..Well, her fans could give C-ent a run for their money.
Yes some fans are crazy over there as wel, but chinese stars are overexposed. Korean actors at least like to pretend they are classy and rarely attend variety shows. You also wont get studio photoshoot for every random event they attend.
As they say in English, if the (toilet) shoe fits, put it on!

There’s a reason all fans in China call his fans toilets. Worst fan group in China and he is ok with it because they have been harassing people for years to his benefit. It’s just that it finally really became visible now and couldn’t be covered by his agency because magnolia is such a big reward.
There is only 1 former popular artiste(Not Chinese) I associate toilet seat to and it has no relations to Wang Yibo…

I burst out into laugh once WYB’s name popped up linking to toilets in front of my eyes. Indeed his fandom got that notorious reputation. I’m entertained by this gossip and also feel avenged somehow. WYB’s fans used to be a bunch of flies on SM that I definitely would either avoid or just swatted back without hesitation due to their relentless attacks on my fave. LOL. People reap what they sow. This is a wise proverb.
This is so funny. Actually last night, people have “new drama”, do you know that Da Peng unfollowed Wang Yibo?
Last year WYB fans attacked him because they think the dance movie directed by him which HuangBo as ML and WYB as supporting didn’t do well as they expected. Da Peng and Huang Bo receieved award for the weibo movie last night and he mentioned everyone from producer to the hard working dancers who didn’t attend on his speech, and he didn’t mention WYB at all and later people noticed DaPeng also unfollowed WYB.
Its amazing how WYB and his crazy fandom basically offended everyone who working with him in the past, no wonder he didn’t enter new acting job since last year.
