Kim Soo Hyun Delivers Happiness to Taiwanese Fans at Packed Airport Arrival and Sold out Fan Meeting

This summer is also the summer of Kim Soo Hyun, who is riding a new career high after setting the new all time drama ratings record for tvN with Queen of Tears and is now off to a series of Asian country fan meetings. He was in Taiwan this past weekend and Taipei rolled out the red carpet for him. The arrival lobby was packed with fans welcoming him and he looked so happy to be there as well. The sold out fan meeting went off without a hitch and was basically a Kim Soo Hyun mini concert. He jetted off the next day with another whirlwind stop completed.

  2. Some fans on Weibo claimed KSH’s plane landed in terminal 1 but went to terminal 2 to greet the fans as they waited on him. The crowd was so huge he probably could have done his fan meet then and there then flew back 🤣

    • hahahaha…he walk to Terminal 2 just to greet them..that was kind of him..but definitely he got suprise by the huge crowd!

  3. KSH’s fm scale is no joke. I looked into it after it came up via another post here. Apparently all his venues excl one had least 10k seats. Everything was sold out according to AKP and some of the photos were WOW. I have never been to a fm and dont really know what is done in one but can imagine the atmosphere being very electric with that crowd.

  4. Every one of these, he looks as happy as the fans LOL. It’s been a busy month for him with weekly fanmeets but he’s back to his day job from July. Knockoff starts filming this month which I’m pumped about. Particularly excited about Lee Jung Eun and Kim Soo Hyun working together! I’m seriously loving her in MDAN along with JEJ.

Hopefully it’ll be out soon and not in D+ lol. Netflix and JTBC would be my ideal but a confirmation would be nice.

    • I’m enjoying Miss Day and Night too! Lee JungEun is fantastic, and it’s great to see her be the front and center of a project. JTBC’s surprise sleeper hit comes after a series of lackluster dramas in the first half of the year so their execs must be thrilled. Super excited for Kim SooHyun and Lee JungEun teaming up in a comedy — it’s been forever since he chose a pure comedy like Producer. It’s my personal fav acting performance by him and there’s a reason he won so many Daesangs for it. Fingers crossed Knock Off is just as funny.

      • MDaN is doing so well most expect it to break double digits soon. It is poised to be this years Doctor Cha or CCIR without the big stars. I’m so happy to see Jung Eunji acting again. She was one of the best idol actresses from the 2nd gen groups but for some reason never took it seriously enough. She is hilarious in MDAN and ofc LJE is the real star.
Excited to see the latter acting with KSH soon!! Daesang trophies aside, I still feel his acting in The Producers was somehow underrated. I watched it years ago but vividly recall how peemypantshilarious he was in a deadpan kinda way. Comedy is the hardest genre for me and I am sure he put a lot of effort but on screen he is such an effortless natural.

  5. Random but I love ksh sense of style (or his cordi?), he looks so chic yet equally comfortable, sometimes these actors look like expensive hobos.

  6. I dont follow fan meetings or even KSH for that matter but looks like a great time! The # of people waiting for him at the airport though was plain ridiculous. I saw a vid on my timeline with fans waiting all the way to the second floor in the airport. There was prob over a thousand and I’ve never seen anything like it.

Seriously how do some have so much time in their hands. Like what do you get from seeing a celebrity for less than a min. Lol do these people not have jobs? I wish I could pull that off in rl lol

    • Normally I would I agree it’s a waste of time but seeing how it made the fans so happy it looks like it was worth it. He was there for about 5 mins and walked down the hall slowly on both sides to make sure everyone got to see him. Life is hard as is so a little burst of happiness like this is so precious.

      • I suppose that’s true enough and there are ofc dedicated fans everywhere. No judgement at all on my end and everyone should do what makes them happy. But I am just amused at how this many folks had the time to make their way to the airport. A thousand+ ppl on a weekday gathering to welcome a celebrity is utterly bananas to me lol.

  7. KSH is so freakin likable… his dichotomy of being such a top star but also being super humble and an emotional wreck with his fans is endearing. Personally I am a newbie fan but he won me over so much. I’ll always keep a lookout for his future work <3

  8. Storytyme so I was clearing out the garage & found my hangul Edward Tulane book from during my mlfts/ksh phase. Anyway so that spurred a re-watch – still the best rom com to ever be made in my dictionary. That spiraled into marathoning dh, tp, iotnbo. I finally gave in and am now watching qot.

I feel like time has not passed since my college days & ksh obsession. Funnily everyone is also on the same boat because of qot craze. He hardly aged & I totally forgot how addictive he is & now I will need to find a way to sneak in his LA fanmeeting since I will be there that time.

Final note -I loooove bhw so much omg. The writer reserves her best heroes for ksh exclusively I feel. He is an amazing actor and half way through the drama reminded me why he is as decorated on the award front as he is.

  9. The scale of his fan meetings is crazy! Apparently the Taiwan arena has a capacity of 15k seats and it sold out within 2 minutes. He is such a charismatic and captivating actor and, despite his top star status, seems like such a down to earth person who is always appreciative of his fans and grateful for his success. It’s no surprise that he’s been able to maintain his popularity for more than a decade, and I’m looking forward to more of his acting in future projects.

  10. He is also amazingly popular in Japan. Two days in a row 12000 seats sold out in one day. He also sang Japanese hit song Lemon, his performance really shorter audience and also melted their hearts.
    He takes his FM seriously
