Dilraba Dilmurat and the Cast of Xianxia C-drama Love Beyond the Grave Continue to Garner Mockery Over its Costume Fails — 24 Comments

  1. LMAO! The black outfit wasn’t THAT bad, but this blue one is really tacky. Oh boy, I looked up to her hair and was like, girl has sidecones?! Lol

Indeed! Sidecones!!!! And her costumes look like leftover matron wear, reassembled from empress dowager wardrobe.

And the male actor in blue has a small lotus lantern as his hair pin or crown… goodness

And some even stood up for the costume designer!

  2. It really is ugly though. The cut is not flattering at all on Dilireba and she is such a beauty it really takes a lot to make her less attractive. She is still super pretty but these costumes are sooo aweful they are quite laughable now

  4. Some designs don’t translate well from paper to real life. I could also be the fault of the prop makers but who knows. I see no coherence or elegance.

  5. It takes some different kind of talent to have someone as gorgeous as Dilraba to look so unflattering. She still looks so pretty but wth are those cuts? Doesn’t compliment her at all. All costumes and makeup look so tacky I get where the fans are coming from. Hopefully post production can do wonders to make it more visually appealing

  6. Indeed it doesn’t look pretty. But based on the novel, the female character is supposed to be wearing outdated costume because she is 400 years old ghost Lord.

  7. The outfits remind me of old Chinese dramas tacky styling but her blue outfit somehow reminds me of Korean goryeo drama Queen seondeok. It is definitely somewhat bland despite the elaborate head gear.

  8. OMG the costume designers should be fired immediately to salvage the series. Dilraba looked so lethargic. At least she still looks much better that the evil witch Bette Midler in “Hocus Pocus”.

  9. Dilraba is NOT responsible for any costumes, it is the drama’s costume designer. Therefore, the negativity the actress has to deal with is to another level despicable.
