  • I would love to see Ha Ji Won back on screen. I didn't watch her last drama chocolate cause I didn't care for her costar or the script. It would be good to see her flex her onscreen presence again.

  • Nobody can't stop Joo Ji-hoon. He's in Love Your Ennemy, he will be in Disney+ Light Shop and The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call on Netflix. He tries a lot of genres too.

    • So he's doing all fine and even thriving after being convicted for illicit substance abuses. AND, fans are all thrilled about his resurgence. LOL. How come fans were so harsh on Lee Sun Kyun who failed to survive all the scandals? LOL but it's actually not funny. Isn't this double standards?

      • He went thru jailed, served his terms. And the built up his career slowly..it was not instant. Lee Sun Kyun's situation happened very quickly. And his death was his choice, his feeling of hopelessness was overwhelming for him. I feel guilt must play a big part. Joo Ji Hoon did not have a wife and kids, he just served his sentence.

To be very honest, I really feel Lee Sun Kyun's career after taking a short break, would still do well. He is a professional actor that many people like to work with...he has a strong fanbase who really like his work. He is not a idol... but he is a very good actor. I believe he could have ride thru this...but it will take time.

I don't think it is double standards as Joo Ji Hoon too face a lot of abuse then...he was one of Kdrama top idol then, he lost it all and went to jail. It is Time that made him built on his career and earn his current status. But you need not agree with me, just my opinion.

      • I wish to you all the kindness you show upon others, which seems to be none.

What does JJH have to do with LSK's tragedy, who by the way was a close hyung to JJH?

There is no double standards, JJH still receives hate from his past actions, even though he has already paid for his so called crimes and he has worked very hard to rebuild his career from the bottom up. You can see in stupid comments like yours and in Korean articles were the public constantly call him names and harasses him.

What happened to LSK was a terrible tragedy and the media as well the netizens have their hands stained with his blood, and you from the way you talk seem to be the kind of person who also dishes angry and hateful comments without knowing better and then turns around talking about hypocrisy when you are the biggest hypocrite.

      • Not saying people were right to be harsh on LSK, but years have passed since JJH's drug scandal, so people probably think he paid his dues already and all that. Meanwhile, LSK's case was still new back then. The sad thing is, people probably would've “forgiven” him too like they did JJH after years have passed, had he not killed himself. Again, not justifying how people crucified LSK, just explaining the possible reason why JJH seems to be forgiven. It's sad all around

      • easy, cuz JJH didn’t try to dodge from his crime after he got caught. Can’t say the same thing for someone who would rather choose to go six feet under instead of receiving punishment for the crime

      • Both cases were pretty different. Joo Ji-hoon's use was reacrative and he confessed even if the test was negative. He got a sentence and went to the army.

Lee Sun-kyun's scandal was not only about drugs, but prostitute too. In this case, it's more the investigation that went too far than the neticizen.

      • @lai
People like you are really something. First you talking about person's su*cide as he did it because he's coward, which just... Ugh, I don't know how describe. Second, when you talking such way about dead person, maybe try to read a little more information about his case?
"During police investigations last month, Lee tested negative in both the preliminary reagent test and the more comprehensive drug test conducted by the National Forensic Service."
His drug tests were negative, he asked to do a lie detector, got rejection, he went on 19 hour interrogation before his su*cide. The same as with GD, police tried hard to drag LSK as a criminal. He died, and his guilt still wasn't proven. GD had a strong lawyer company behind his back and probably better mental state than LSK, while LSK could feel hopeless, and who knows what terrible thoughts were in his head at that time.
You talking about punishment when you don't even know if he did a crime or not. You wrote his su*cide is excusable reason he received hate.
This is so disgusting way of thinking. I wish people like you at least thought a minute before sending such comments "Oh, maybe I'm crossing a line here".

      • @vienna, where did I call JJH names or harass him? Where? Where? Where? Where? Where? Where? Where? Where? In your deranged delusion, you must have sighted or heard I called his names and harassed him!!!! LMAO. READ MY COMMENT AGAIN with corrected vision 2.0 !!!!! I just stated a plain fact that he was convicted of drug abuse bcos his drama, Princess Hours, was one of the dramas that turned me into a Kdrama fan and one of my favorite. You idiot tell me that's not true! LOL. Instead, you're the one calling me "stupid" just because I recalled an undeniable crime your oppa committed in the past and I wondered how he came back with so much love from fans given that SK public opinions about celebrities are very toxic.

      • I remember back then, JJH also got all the hates. Especially when his ex gf (member of a gg) talked about his 'habits'. But he was young back then, like other actors, he got sentenced then went to army. It took some times before his comeback. And it wasnt easy. He got all his moment back with movie, Along With The God, i guess. Then Kingdom.
And, bold italic : he has no wifey at that time. No prostitution case also.

While for LSK, we knew what happened. Both actors had different mental states when they were in their lowest moments.

Look at GD. He and LSK actually had the same 'case', except for GD being single. Now, GD's comeback songs are all on charts. Home sweet home is currently no 1 on melon.

No double standard tho. It's just... time will tell.

      • @Somebody LMAO dude, learn how to read, I called your comment stupid (and your reply only showcased that it's not only your original comment that was stupid, but something are you as you lack basic interpretation skills to read properly and understand what i wrote) and said that he is harassed by people in Korean articles, those are two different things!

Your idiocy seems to be so big that you can't truly understand what people are telling you. He was not embraced with open arms by the general public, he still isn't by many. For his crime, that he doesn't hide nor his fans, he lost the good will of the general public and for years only had his small core group of fans. It looks him years to regain his status, especially as he had been banned from broadcasting companies (MBC, KBS and SBS) and when SBS removed the ban and cast him on Five Fingers netizens threatened the company and told them to fire him.

You seem to hold an odd bitterness towards him, especially when his crime was only against himself and he never hurt anyone and like others said he paid for it headfirst.

Just admit that your comparison made no sense and you just wanted to use someone's tragedy to bring him down.

      • @vienna, stop your hallucination from excessive mental gym about what's in my mind as to your blameless oppa! The gaslighting is once again so much abused in psychotic Asian drama fans like you!

I'm indifferent to JJH and have no interest in your oppa's career or business. LOL. I'll watch his dramas if they are good and won't watch if they are boring. Simple as that! To slap in your face, Kingdom is actually in my long-ever-ending Kdrama list to watch. I'm fond of Princess Hours all thanks to FL's charm and her chemistry with JJH. You're banana to accuse me of trying to bring him down. LMAO.

To me, your oppa is nothing much different from an average person convicted of crime but got well received back due to his idol halo. I'm curious why LSK went a totally different route. Other comments have answered properly with hints and clues without getting into a fight and insulting me. Your rhetoric just showed your adrenaline is overactive and you need serious help with your mental state. LOL.

Also stop mincing your BS. There's no difference between calling a comment stupid and the commenter stupid. Pushing you such an idiot back is what you deserve. Folly is what you sowed first.

  • I don’t think I’ll ever be a JJH fan. He’s a good actor but just never drew me in. I think it’s his lack of screen presence to me anyway. I also haven’t liked a HJW drama in more than a decade probably. Curtain Call was so nonsensical. The premise of this sounds boring too tbh, but I do love the supporting cast so maybe.

  • I love these 2 leads and supporting cast... Looking forward to this. Hope script is good..dont waste such a strong casts...

  • Love Ha Ji Won! Secret Garden was one of my first favorite K drama! She is such a versatile actress and I live most of what she is in.

  • I always want to applaud seeing mature actresses in lead roles but I find Ha Ji Won such a stiff and limited actress. This is from the writer-director of Miss Baek though so maybe she can get a better performance from HJW.

So this is the clashing project which meant Nana had to drop out of the 'Humint' film with Jo In Sung? Kind of sucks for her as she isn't even the lead in this drama but she would have been the main actress in 'Humint'. The film looks like it will be a hit considering it's directed by Ryu Seung Wan. A great opportunity for Shin Se Kyung who replaced her though.

      • @HL: Park Jung-min and Park Hae-joon are also cast so it is a strong cast. The articles about Nana leaving the project said it was because they couldn't adjust her schedule for the overseas filming. I am guessing Nana thought she might be able to film both as Humint started filming in October and Climax isn't due to start filming until the new year but Humint has lots of overseas filming schedules scheduled for next year too so it wasn't possible. She signed up for Climax first so she couldn't drop out.

It's interesting seeing the domino effect in real time with projects: SSK was originally in talks for the SBS gumiho drama with Lomon but she dropped out to replace Nana in Humint and Kim Hye Yoon replaced her in the gumiho drama.

      • I see...that explains. Nana is a good actress...better then I expected when when she just branch over from being a singer. I would have rather she could join the cast of Humint...but this is how the industry works.

Shin Se Kyun has gotten better as she gains more experience. I have to add..she is very pretty.

      • @HL: Agree about Nana. I am usually sceptical about idols turned actors but she is very good. Humint would have benefited her career a lot more working with this director and cast and unique focus as the lead female in the all male main cast.

I have a soft spot for Shin Se Kyung too. She is still one of the most naturally pretty faces in K-drama land and she seems so sweet, harmless and lowkey. She certainly isn't the greatest actress but she has improved and can be good in the right role but equally in the wrong role she can be pretty bad lol😂 But her acting abilities are not overhyped unlike certain other mediocre actors and actresses so I think it's fair.

  • Prosecutor aiming to be next president? This is the type of role Joo Ji Hoon will excel in. Not of a fan of Ha Ji Won’s recent works. Would love to see her in this power hungry, manipulator role.

  • Looks like the drama gods really want Ha Jiwon and Ju Jihoon in a project together because they were once cast as the leads of an action/conspiracy thriller named "Prometheus" back in 2018 which was later abandoned. I looked forward to the drama because I wanted to see their chemistry play out for their characters are agents on a operation under the pretense of a married couple.

I'm not too enthusiastic about the premise of "Climax" because it reminds me of "Artificial City" starring Soo Ae and Lee Kangwoo, a drama with good actors but characters I did not warm up to.

    • @Daymare: Finally somebody else watched 'Artificial City'! I was so excited to see Soo Ae acting again and the cast was great but the drama was just so cold and distant and miserable that I had to drop it after a few episodes. I could not slog through 20 episodes. It was hard to warm to or care about anyone even the FL. I suppose it lived up to the title as the whole thing felt so soulless.
