I have a feeling one of these two drama productions will blink but for now C-ent scheduling rumor circulating these past few days says that two big female lead period C-dramas are on a collision course to premiere on the same day. I’m talking about Flourished Peony with Yang Zi, which already telegraphed an early January air date, and now Moonlight Mystique with Bai Lu is reportedly set for the same date. MM was supposed to air this month in December but most of the rumored December dramas are now pushed to month end or beyond. It’s always entertaining to see two top dramas compete head-to-head, and most recently it was The Story of Pearl Girl with Zhao Lu Si and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy with Yu Shu Xin both premiering on November 1st. Of course netizens will compare Peony and MM but hey if you want to hack it in cutthroat C-ent be ready for head-to-head competition at times.
