Lee Min Ho’s Agency Clarifies that He Has no Connection Whatsoever with Popstar Park Bom of 2NE1 After She Posts on SNS Calling Him Her Husband
Well this is certainly an odd thing to happen and I guess the silver lining is that it took place in this day and age and not ten years ago when she would have been eviscerated by K-netizens. Korean popstar Park Bom of 2NE1 this week posted on her SNS a picture of her next to a picture of Lee Min Ho and called him “my husband”. She’s apparently been posting similar things about Lee Min Ho for some time and keeps insisting they are married, but then says he told her to not say that and say that she is single. Her agency reportedly deleted the post and Lee Min Ho’s agency has stepped in to clarify in no uncertain terms that the actor has no connection with Park Bom at all, much less is married. For once netizens seem to see how alarming this behavior from Park Bom is and is commenting her her to get help or for her friends/family/agency to take care of her.
I’ve been following this story quite a bit, and I have to say – I have so much respect for LMH and his agency. They tried to ignore it for as long as possible and not release a statement. I think they understand the situation is awkward, tricky and extremely delicate. So much class from their side to turn a blind eye over it for so many days.
As for Park Bom, she needs help. And she needs it fast. Instead of touring and doing concerts, the people around her needs to help her get professionally help. Her behaviour is so disturbing. Making multiple accounts, having those be deleted by her agency and then her creating even more to double down on LMH being her husband. She even responded to fans when asked if it’s true. And quite obviously she’s not “hacked” or it’s not a fake account since her agency never took that route of explanation. It would have been the easiest one too.
I never pull the gender card if I can avoid it but it’s absolutely relevant in this scenario. Had the genders been reversed, I doubt she would be getting this much sympathy. Glad that’s not the case but she needs help yesterday.
Orrrr…….It’s true they are in relationship but can’t be out in open because of her past scandal with drugs. Wasn’t he believed to be stoned at one time?
She has no strong backer but still insist. It’s very Sussss.
Also, KSH-KSR affair made me rethink what appears to be the truth.
His image too is so clean like that guy!
Hmm I have seen lot of fan calling their fav husband and like but it’s too cringe and I never tried it so… I do feel it’s a bit like pestering.
Im glad they step in it was time already. I hope she has someone close enough to take care of her sincerely before its too late she has quite concerning situations lately..
Can someone tell me why do users on pannchoa hate on LMH? I saw this post on pannchoa and there were many there trying to downplay this situation and also going after his looks.
This situation is pretty bad and if this was a male actor doing this to female actor then, he would have been called creep and what not but since tjis is a woman, LMH is supposed to be calm. Double standards smh.
Those Pannchoa f*ck*ers are hypocrites. They just hate any male celebrity even if those celebrities didn’t do anything criminal. The only exceptions are those male celebrities who make them horny like Cha Eun Woo or something. They reserve their utmost hatred towards those who they don’t deem attractive (I’ve seen Kim Soo Hyun gets called “ugly” a lot there) and towards Hybe male idols (sometimes even Hybe female idols, which shows how hypocritical they are with their faux-feminism and fake ”pro-girls/women” stance).
Since Lee Min Ho is considered past his prime now, he’s fair game to them now. It’s disgusting, really. I remember they were celebrating Suga from BTS getting sent funeral wreaths and some commenters were happy that Lee Sun Kyun took his own life. It could be a post about the most positive thing and those miserable losers would still comment negative stuff (for example, look up the article there about RM of BTS donating, and they somehow still managed to find something wrong with what he did).
If you think the commenters here are unhinged, you haven’t seen a Pannchoa comment section yet. It’s just full of miserable, pathetic lowlifes who think hating on male celebrities who didn’t do anything wrong makes them great feminists. As a feminist, they’re so embarrassing lol.
And now they’re acting like saints in the comment sections under Kim Sae Ron posts, acting like they’re not posting hate comments 24/7, acting like they didn’t participate in hate wagons towards celebrities. Watch them post hate comments once Suga and other BTS members get out of the military, and then in the same breath, claim to care about celebrities’ mental health. Literally insane.
I just don’t understand. If they want to be real feminists, why don’t they just focus their hatred towards male celebrities who have been proven to have done actual crimes like Seungri? Oh right, that’s because they’re not real feminists, they just want to use the feminism label to be able to freely hate on male celebrities they don’t find attractive
glad im not the only one who noticed their hypocrisy lol. i also noticed that the worst people there are the Aespa and new jeans fans. Hybe, hybe idols, and Armys live in their heads rent-free. case in point, on one kim sae ron post there, some dummy still managed to mention Hybe in the comment section. like at this point, you have to wonder what did Hybe do to them lmao. and how can they call themselves a girls’ girl is beyond me. they love min hee jin there. the same min hee jin who said “i want to kill these fu**ing feminists”. im convinced they would side with hitler himself if that means they won’t be on the same side as Hybe lol. well i ain’t no company stan so i don’t even care if they hate hybe and bang si hyuk. but why hate on Hybe idols who didn’t do anything wrong? i guess they really just hate male celebs there, huh? not surprised they’re bashing lee minho now too lol
lol your first mistake is going there. last time i went there was like 2023. i read the comment sections there and noped outta there real fast to preserve my mental health. they’re seriously unhinged there. i get that female celebrities get triple amounts of hate as compared to the hate male celebrities get. but pannchoa users are all overcorrecting by hating on every male celebrity senselessly. of course they can hate criminal men all they want for all i care. but it can be the most wholesome male celebrity and they still would hate him. just ignore those people for your sanity lmao
Seriously people there are really unhinged when it comes to male actors. Specially if someone is not conventionally attractive, then again they even have the audacity to call some conventionally attractive guy ugly lol.
Also, when that Han So hee and Ryu Jun yeol’s controversy was going on, they were literally calling RJY so many things. They were treating him like a criminal. They seem to have a f*cked up definition of a feminism. They really think they are doing women a justice by going after every men in the comment section. Most of them seems to be a troll.
As the other replies on you comment said, pannchoa losers are PATHETIC HYPOCRITES. Like this panchoa user who used to post hate comments towarda kim saeron when she was alive: https://disqus.com/by/disqus_nrZwETHHpa/? (lol, the account is private now. Predictable.)
Now that saeron unalived herself, they’re acting holier than thou, like they didn’t participate in bullying her
I guess their next target is LMH, smh
Did they date once upon a time or meet ever and she is just obsessed or is she just joking? Seems fairly odd and sad if she is delusional. Very strange indeed.
I don’t know what’s going on in PB’s mind but would have the netizens or LMH reacted the same way if it was a Black pink’s or another popular idol member ? I don’t think so, LMH may have been flattered and netizens would have seen it as a cute over fangirling ! The problem it’s because Park Bom has a past with depression, she is 40 years old and she is keeping on re posting it .I just hope that we would not see another bad news soon . Harsh opinion, no offence but we are living in a harsh world .
Thank you for this! People go from bullying one artist after another and still are shocked at countless suicides.
2NE1 used to be big though. There were like female version of Big Bang. Both groups in the 2nd generation of Kpop idols were trailblazers for Kpop to make a foray into international stage. Without these 2nd-gen Kpop idols, there wouldn’t have been BTS and Black Pink today. What PB is to 2NE1, what Lisa is to Black Pink. Not sure about the actual implication of PB’s post. There are always Asian showbiz fans calling their idol oppas “my hubby” even though these fans could be as old as their idol’s mom LMAO. This is so funny.
2NE1 were the hype band , back then stars would have been flattered to be chosen as their “hubby”, and i dare to say that they were more a powerful and tough band than Black Pink is, in terms of sound and looks . They really had a strong presence .
Bts r self made and they had no money. Stop taking away their success n give to second gen. Bts and BLACKPINK r kpop peak and fourth gen failed to match their success. BLACKPINK each member stands out. That’s why they sell out stadiums and get global endorsements. Bts paved they way. Second gen has done nthng for them. They weren’t from big company. BLACKPINK girls r global celebs
@cahill
Did you ever see Blackpink’s idol, or any other idol acting such way? For you saying that there had to be at least one example of another idol posting such things.
I won’t tolerate hate towards Park Bom or any celebrity, I also think she probably just joking (many fans saying such things about their faves. I’m not fond of it, but she’s not the first who calling her bias “my husband”. She’s just the first famous idol doing that), but post not about hate towards her. I can’t understand why you making whole situation as the point to attack LMH and saying he would react differently if it was another woman. It looks not like LMH has some prejudice against Park Bum, but like it’s you have prejudice against her.
There are a lot of times k-actors clarified speculations about their personal life (although they don’t have to).
Also all idols receiving hate train for anything, Blackpink members as well. Not only netizens, but international fans, or pseudo-fans aka trolls, hating idols 24/7 for any thing they’re doing, posting, breathing etc. It’s not normal though.
@Oleysa1, i post comments here since almost 2 decades, my english may be average but i didn’t insult in any way everyone you are mentioning .
I see myself as a tolerant person , i just said that Park Bom has a past with depression . Depression may alterate judgement ( i’m under medication myself and doing fine ) . I stated that i hope for her to not meet a fate as many stars going through hard times ! Where is the hate ????
Lee Min Ho reacted to vehemently , and yes you may living in a beautiful world , but in mine , when some stars always name their celebrity’s crush they don’t respond like that . And yes , it may be harsh but if it was another popular idol or actress , i just named Black Pink as an example, he may have acted in a different way. I have a soft spot for him as i saw him in a drama before BOF .
Finally , i didn’t say that 2nd gen paved the way , i stated that i found that 2NE1 had a stronger and powerful scenic image than Black Pink . It’s what i felt when i first saw them more than 10 years ago . I like Black Pink, i’m happy with their global success , i like their songs but i ‘m not intolerant juste because i found that 2NE1 has a girl power feeling .
I think that the ones who are intolerant are the ones who treats others of intolerance . But if you felt offended , i’m sorry because as a french i may have a vision that may be misunderstood .
@Cahill LMH didn’t react “vehemently”. He gave out a statement after days of remaining quiet. This is not a plain celebrity crush. It was a crush 6 months ago when she called him her husband. Or even a week ago when she did that again. But after that, her agency kept deleting her posts and she kept making new accounts on insta and continued claiming he is her husband. At one point, she even posted that he asked her “not to say anything”. Then when a fan asked if what she claims is true, she responds with a yes.
I totally get Bom’s mental struggles and depression and fully sympathize with it too. She’s going through a lot and obviously needs all the support she can get. However, her mental health is NOT more important than someone else’s. LMH has every right to put out a statement that he in fact does not know her well. There was nothing rude about it, nothing scathing and nothing to do with Bom’s appearance and everything to do with how she’s acting.
I’m no LMH fan and I’ve made that extremely clear in many posts on WTSG, but I have mad respect for how well he handled this situation. Him as an actor has nothing to do with him as a person, and here he’s acted with a lot of consideration and grace.
Based on all your past comments, I wouldn’t accuse you of hating on anyone. I agree with @Olesya1 here, despite completely slamming her claims about me and my comments on KSR/KJW post just yesterday. My point being, we can all agree or disagree on different topics like adults and be objective. I feel like everyone has a point in this debate even if we are speaking on different sides. And while I don’t think you were trying to hate on LMH, tbh, it came across as that to me as well, which I feel is unfair to him.
@Millie, I admit that my first comment was harsh . I do understand LMH’s state but each human has his own perception, and i felt it like that . Your post was for me a wake up call that reminded me that others may have thought that i was unfair with LMH as i thought that they were unfair with Park Bom .Which is ironic is that i have a fondness for LMH as i’m a longtime Kdramas viewers and not specially for PB !
@cahill, I’m puzzled how you’re drawn into this muddy exchanges and how others might misinterpret you LOL. I always read your comments whenever I saw your name. You’re one of those whom I’m fond of and have respect to communicate with on this site. Nowhere in your original post or the succeeding comments did I find your disapproval or vitriol about LMH or PB. You just simply proposed a speculation or a theory as so many have done constantly on this site about other celebs. I don’t see in your comments any offense AT ALL to LMH whom I like nor to PB whom I’m indifferent to. But look at how these other commenters shaded and gaslighted you!!!!! It’s these comments, not PB’s post, that amazed me. LMAO.
@cahill, I have read your comments afew times and trying to find hate nor insults as others suggest… But not applying to your comments, generally I have read others who wrong unkind things about both artiste involved.
I do hope Park Bom is resting well. I really think her more frequent than usual call out for LMH is also to get attention and support for his unpopular new drama. She is just a fan like his other fans.
I really did not expect this news to last for days… Goodness, it was clear when she said ‘boyfriend’, it was not really true. She is just a big fan of him. Isn’t it? How did it blow up?
Is there a need to put her in such negative spotlight? If other fans can say it, why should she be crucified for one simple comment.
I am trying to get my head round this.
I always saw Asian women commenting on their faves, “my hubby blah blah blah..” LMAO.
Interestingly, it’s actually the toxic “yaas queen!”type of pseudo feminists/girlgroup stans who are making this a way bigger deal than it really is. A lot of them are just using this situation to bash a male celebrity. Just look at how many of them are already assuming sh*t, calling LMH a playboy, accusing him of dating her and dumping her, etc.
Look, I’m glad that many people are now taking into account that Park Bom has mental health problems and as such, she shouldn’t be bullied for this. But LMH doesn’t deserve to be bullied either, especially, as Somebody said, a lot of these women who are doing the bullying are most likely also the types to call their faves “my husband” jokingly. Does that mean that them and their faves had a dating history? No, of course not. After all, it’s all said in a joking manner. So I don’t know why they’re assuming a lot of those negative things about LMH.
To be honest, a lot of this just seems like forced hate to me. Say what you want about LMH’s questionable acting skills, but the dude has never been problematic and has always stayed in his lane, minding his own business. I don’t get why he gets such unnecessary hate. And this is coming from someone who’s not even a fan of him or his corny dramas. But as a person, he seems decent and definitely doesn’t deserve hate
‘Forced hate’ good word, I can see that being played here. I just learn about the narratives Lee Minho’s haters have created. Gosh, these people must be bored and really nasty.
There is also a lot of “forced hate” in Asian fandoms towards the rivals of their own faves. Asian showbiz fans are toxic. It’s a trend for the fandoms to push emotions (either love or hate) to extreme. And the ones who have these polarized emotions can be young and old, regardless of age. We actually have seen these extreme emotions among many visitors of this site. I don’t think they are young in their 20s or 30s. It’s very unhealthy, actually a mental illness that need professional help, like substance abuse.
Well, my husband Henry Cavill always tell me to deny everything silly about us.
Same with me and my husband Cillian Murphy. Silly guy.
(This is me just joking, in case someone take my comment seriously and calls me delulu lol)
Lol…true.
Ya know, I like him best with just his glasses on.
Wait. I’m denying this.
Only one husband ! I have many husband , too much to be listed , to the point that agencies would not be able to have enough time to take care of their other celebrities (joking) But i have to say that the britannic and irish ones are really great . Shawn Evans( Endeavour Morse), David Tennant, Rufus Sewell,Jude Law, Richard Armitage, Sam Claflin, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, …Jonathan Firth,…Now the list of the american ones, french, canadian, korean ones…Too much to handle !
@cahill, completely of track… I dont listen to korean music much execpt for few I like. I just heard G-Dragon’s new tracks…it is really very good. He is a amazing and talented artiste. My Zhou Shen is great but not G-Dragon’s level as yet.
Hahahahaha
I really hope knetz leave her alone. 2NE1 may not be in their former glory. PB has had many ridicule her appearance without understanding the physical and mental health issues she’s been through. I dont want to read any more sad news this year.
this woman is mentally unstable, just look at how many insane plastic surgeries she underwent, she is sick and needs help- all those are statement are *signs of crying for help*. people should stop judging her or she would be part of statistic
