C-actress Wu Jin Yan Reportedly Gives Birth to Baby Girl and Producer Yu Zheng Claims She Will Start Filming New S Budget Tencent Produced C-drama in April 2025

It’s a congratulations for C-actress Wu Jin Yan as industry gossip says she’s delivered a healthy baby girl earlier this month in February 2025. Of course she has never confirmed she was pregnant despite visibly hiding her belly during the promos for Kill Me Love Me last October, but she did confirm her marriage earlier in the year to actor Hong Yao. Industry chatter also says the two have decided she will continue to focus on her more famous career while he will take a backseat and be more present to raise their baby. Then it’s no surprise to hear producer Yu Zheng reveal that Wu Jin Yan will be back in the production set starting in April 2025 to shoot a Tencent produced big budget drama where she is the female lead. It is very fast for a new mom to return to work but at least she will have finished her month long maternity confinement by then.

    • There was a post while back on weibo with pictures of her husband smoking in the car with her when she was still pregnant so… no high hopes for that guy :/

  3. I thought US almost non-existent maternity leaves were appalling, but this if this is true it really takes the cake! Let the mother rest and bond with her newborn before rushing into another demanding and taxing schedule of drama shooting! I understand the insecurity around showbiz and always wanting to remain relevant, but surely a couple more months off can hardly destroy her career, she’s been in the industry long enough, and is not a fresh face.

    Here’s hoping that it isn’t true for precisely this reason.
