Period Horror Mystery Romance K-drama Delusion Finalizes Main Cast of Suzy, Kim Sun Ho, Choi Hyun Wook, and Heo Jun Ho and Reveals Massive 45 Billion Won Budget
One set of leads misstep is another set of leads opportunity it seems for the K-drama Delusion (also known as Deception). In early 2024 Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee was cast in the movie adaptation of this story which is a Naver webtoon, but then the two were caught in Hawaii while dating and it became a small scandal that swept in Ryu Jun Yeol’s ex-girlfriend Hyeri with some cattiness. Both dropped out of Delusion and now the story will instead be adapted into a drama rather than the original movie and the leads are confirmed as Suzy and Kim Sun Ho reuniting the two after they did Start Up together. Joining them are new casting news this week with Choi Hyun Wook joining as the second male lead as well as veteran Heo Jun Ho. The drama also revealed that it’s got a massive 45 billion won budget due to needing to re-create 1800’s and 1930’s era Shanghai, will need extensive overseas location shoots, along with the need for CGI work. The story is about a female vampire and the painter she hires to do her portrait and the mystery surrounding them. The drama is slated to start production soon.
It’s funny how it ended up being a full 360 with the female lead, because the director originally wanted Suzy, but due to schedule conflicts she couldn’t do the project, and after the RJY and HSH drama it went back to her.
Suzy’s project have been less than stellar in terms of viewers. Girls still getting attention from the press but the fans have slow down too.
