Cancelled for Soliciting Prostitution C-actor Li Yi Feng Returns After Three Years with Concert in Thailand — 29 Comments

  1. My question is this: Do they perform in their language or sing and perform in the country they visits language? Does this mean they live outside of their home country or travel to and from their country? Did they then succeed despite their circumstances. I have yet to hear the celebrities koala mentioned and only know because she mentioned them. Anyways it’s shocking yet not surprising to me that this happens. I saw a video of Seungri former member of big bang despite his circumstances hold a small fan meeting in another country ranting and raving like a loon with confidence despite his misdeeds so… 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️…it happens.

    • Zhang Zhe Han is popular outside China. I still like him and my sisters attended his concert in Singapore. If you don’t know him, you must not have watched dramas very long. We speak Mandarin in Malaysia and Singapore, as well as other languages and dialects.

      • oh I know him and have seen only 3 dramas of his… I live in the states so my chances of hearing about these celebs are slim to none unless I read blogs like this or watch some YouTube channel where someone speak on it… I was just curious if they made it work or not? Like if they succeeded and not just zhang zhe han? His mistake to me seems annoying to oust him from his career like it was a bit much for China to ban him, but li yi Feng seems just in being cancelled. Park Yoochun had it coming too but I have not heard much of him… just curious if it is actually working out for them despite the distance from their home country?

      • For me it’s more like media play, sure he has potential political issues, but it wouldn’t have been a big problem if someone behind is not fanning any flames. He also never had the chance to squirm his way out of that allegation, so definitely someone is out for him.

Well from bystanders pov it’s like that. He’s not really my type

    • I am from the Philippines so I see Ji Soo in public TV and he mostly acts and communicates in English, which is no problem as it is also an official language in the country. He does say some random Tagalog words (depends on the script) and he did perform a Tagalog song too. His pronunciation (both English and Tagalog) definitely improved from last year.

  2. They have to work and earn money too. Since they are blacklisted in their own Country, they will have to try elsewhere.
He is one of few that are doing so.

    • Many don’t understand that prostitution is illegal in China. Whether he has a need or not, he solicited sex illegally. Thus, he was locked up for that. Even if he is not cancelled it’s almost impossible for him to get
leading roles in traditional period dramas where the main characters are expected to be virgin and holy until they marry, and especially to avoid brothels.

Anyway he looks slightly better than his bloated haggard version in his last drama: Mirror A Tale of Twin Cities. Added with his dull acting, he was clearly ill fitted for that role. Not against him making a living, but I was never a fan… coz I only watched that Mirror drama and his acting was so boring and he looked too old to be a young unmarried Prince.

  3. It occurred to me Hugh Grant, one British actor I like a lot, was once arrested in LA in his 30s for prostitution and ordered to complete an AIDS education program LOL. But he continued to thrive in his acting career with several prestigious awards under his belt. He’s still active as of today with many critically acclaimed performances, and his career is deemed a great success in the industry.

See the huge difference between the West and the East !!! Hugh Grant is blessed to be a British. He might have been in a dump begging for food and become one good source of gossips for Koala’s blog LOL if he were Asian.

BTW, Li Yi Feng WHO? I guess he used to be very popular since he endorsed Prada.

    • He did some good dramas in Taiwan and then some in China awhile back not many may be familiar since it has been a long while for him to have a drama. But his prostitution issues were underaged from what I have heard not certain of hugh grant faced similar issue with his prostitution issues. I mean America is full of troubled actors and artists who have done so much worse and still thriving but compared to China they are more tough on their artists. Different cultures and different rules at play.

    • Hugh Grant didn’t lie, and no one is expecting him to be a shining role model, on the other hand Li Yi Feng lied, and tried to weasel his way out.

    • Ha! That’s who I immediately thought of, didn’t do his career any serious damage, some kudos, even. And the woman he was in a relationship with at the time, Liz Hurley, got him to be godfather to her son. Not sure how she felt about it at the time, though. He was made fun of, more than anything, comedians had a field day.

George Michael got arrested for performing a lewd act in a public toilet in LA. He went on an American talkshow – Letterman, and talked about it, it was played for laughs. It’s on YouTube, for those who are interested and aren’t shocked and disgusted.

      I

    • I mean li yifeng used to be popular among the four traffic king at the time with yang yang, kris wu, and luhan. Well I guess since luhan is semi retired now only yang yang left out of the 4

      • Among these four “late” liuliangs, I only knew Yang Yang as an actor, Luhan as a former EXO member, and the other two through scandal blogs of Koala LMAO. I googled the other three “late” traffic kings. None of their visuals are up my alley. No idea how they got that big.

  4. Is it wrong to get his need fixed? Paying for prostitution is better than raping someone. It pays for someone’s living. It’s in line w/ someone doing drug or gambling. What’s is got to do w/ you people. It doesn’t harm you but themselves.

    • With underaged girls? Is that even proper for ones needs to be fixed. Yes some make a living off of prostitution but underaged is usually sex trafficked and underhanded ways and means. So no it is not okay. If the country makes it illegal than yes it counts as wrong. The consequences are needs met but reputation and fame down the drain. It’s a risk he knew.

      • Were the prostitutes underaged? I did not read his case in details as I was not interested in him.

      • @HL I don’t know if all times he got busted before were but I believe koala mentioned before that he some how got ousted in the public due to a bust on underaged prostitution thing and some speculation of a said celebrity was amidst it and because he missed an award ceremony on the same day it happened and such. He denied it but got caught lying to the public. But he was covered most times he got caught for prostitution rumors but this was like the last straw to break the camels back and he got blacklisted. I’m only recalling what she mentioned before. As for specifics it is beyond me.

      • @Rero – don’t make things up.

I read reports about this and in no where does it say that he was soliciting sec with underage girls. Only with prostitutes. And I’m of the firm belief that what a man does with his sex life – as long as they are both consenting adults- is his own business. Whether he pays for it or not. Apparently even the police knew and turned a blind eye until he offended them. They wouldn’t have done so if there were minors involved. Not everyone is KSH. Sheesh!

    • It’s not a need, it’s a want. A want that is non-consensual. He is paying traffickers to live for good lives to continue entrapment of these girls. There is significant harm

      • @sheesh if so my bad. Sorry if I misrepresented. That is why I said I don’t know the specifics. Thanks for clarifying. Never said he was ksh.

  5. Prostitution is illegal but he already paid fines and go to jail,he paid his penance,he deserves a second chance.he’s almost 40 and don’t have any other skills it’s hard to venture in other industry.

    • There’s the option of becoming food deliveryman or cab driver, but I guess earning money off fans is much easier. Anyway he’s been in the industry for so long and was one of the top liuliangs at the period where liuliangs were able to demand obscenely huge pay, so he probably owns several properties too. He hardly needs our sympathies.

      • @Lilith, 😂 No need sympathy… as long as his fans are willing to pay. He can still make money. I do wonder if his concert can really make money? That I am unsure.

      • @HL No doubt he can, he has some rich female fans, those kind that are willing to pay thousands for a meal together with him.

      • @Lilith, I remember years ago reading about such meal some rich Chinese woman had with Kim Soo Hyun… But that news did not spread. I guess, rich/powerful men can have meals with young artistes, women can do the same.

    • I think ultimately, I suspect he was cancelled for being close to Zhao Wei. He changed his agency to her. And she was in trouble, her agency could no longer operate to take care of their artistes. I cannot think of more reasons to be honest.
