My mad love and respect for K-actress Kim Go Eun continues to grow with news about how she’s managing her career. She’s coming off a new career high with Exhuma being both a box office mega hit and also winning her tons of acting awards, yet she’s still someone of her word. She said when she accepted the K-drama of Yumi’s Cells five years ago she would be onboard for the entirety of its run. Now it’s confirmed that she will be back for the third season, nearly three years after the second season finished in mid-2022. Honestly, the third season is what all the fans of the webtoon want because it’s the one where she meets her third and final i.e. forever OTP. The guy she ends up marrying. I loved watching her find love in both seasons and the ensuing breakups and heartbreak because it was all so real and that’s thanks to her amazing acting and a great source material. But hot darn it I want my happily ever after and now we’re going to get it. Now all eyes are on who is cast as the male lead and holy grail perfect man Shin Soon Rok. Fan voting wants Park Bo Gum haha, that’s great but probably unlikely. I would love for someone that really gets a chance to shine in this great role.
