Tencent Confirms May 28th Premiere of Modern Romance Be Passionately in Love with Liu Hao Cun and Wang An Yu
The bountiful May of 2025 continues as another C-drama is about to drop right at the end of the month. Tencent has confirmed the premiere of modern romance Be Passionately in Love with Liu Hao Cun and Wang An Yu mid-week on May 28th. With three high profile period dramas already released this month it’s nice to get a change of pace with what seems like a light college era romance with the sprinkling of growing up and maybe separation before reunion. It’s super been there done that in set up so all eyes are on whether the leads bring the chemistry and the execution is nicely plotted. Bonus points for my recent hottie He Yu as the second male lead, and from the previews he’s the ex-boyfriend character. No worries, she can have the male lead, I’ll take the ex lol.

I was surprised to find out LHC, although was scandal ridden, was the only thing watchable in her prior drama Derailment that was unwatchable. LOL.
WAY was obviously miscast for his Xianxia with Zhao Lusi. His visuals are off in costume. Nonetheless, he is also watchable in modern dramas.
I’ll check out this drama, not holding any hope I won’t drop at some point though LOL.
Yes can’t wait. Wang An Yu is a favourite. He really gets inside his character…he is so believable and so beautiful. It’s going to be great.

I saw Passionately in Love and loved Wang An Yu. I absolutely detested Liu Han Cun in the role. She came off as very snobby and entitled in the character role.
