Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun All Smiles at the Laughter Filled Press Conference for jTBC Drama Good Boy Premiering This Weekend
Finally! This weekend its time for some Good Boy! The sports and police procedural themed K-drama premieres this last weekend of May on jTBC led by young leads Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun along with veteran stars Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, Oh Jung Se, and Tae Won Seock. The preview looked sharply executed yet emotionally resonant, and the idea of retired Olympians taking their sports talent to the police force is far from far-fetched and has the arena to create interesting challenges and obstacles to overcome. I just found Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun so insanely adorable together at the press conference and their finally getting to work together checks another drama coupling bucket list for me.

I watched their Hyell’s Club interview together, that was really fun. Lol seeing Park Bo Gum laughing so hard with Kim So Hyun and Hyeri was pure good vibes.
I didn’t expect So Hyun to be so chatty though she’s very much an I and Bo Gum and Hyeri are probably E, they compliment each other well that the whole interview is fun and light watch. I hope she can guess in more talkshows so she can laugh a lot more with good people.
Many of Park Bo Gum gets on with him very well. Even Kim So Hyun who is normally more reserve around her male co-star. You can see just how relax and happy she looks next to Park Bo Gum. I just saw a interview Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun in Hyeri’s YouTube talk show ‘Hyell’s Club, all 3 had so much fun chatting. You can see Park Bo Gum really cares for the 2 actresses.
I think it’s also because they have been friend (not sure) for a long time. They first did that KBS award show hosting and then, I remember PBG inviting KSH for his movie’s premiere. I guess they were still in touch after that award show, that’s why they look very comfortable with each other. Apparently, he was the one who recommend her name for this drama.
I see…. No wonder. Hyeri and him are the same.
Friends but barely in touch after KDA 2015. From PBG’s revelation, seems like it was on MAMA 2022 where they reconnected and he personally offered Good Boy’s script to KSH.
Don’t think they were friends for 10 years since he specifically stated he regrets not meeting her earlier. However they clearly were keen to work together and waited for the perfect opportunity. PBG found the script that fit them both and offered it to her. Love when actors cast their own partners for a drama.

KSH’s dramas lately have been just watchable at best. PBG did not have any chemistry with his FL in Record of Youth. Drama Goddess please don’t disappoint me this time. You’ve been treating me so well in 2025. I still have Dear Hongrang to catch up after Legend of Zhan Hai. I’m very much looking forward to seeing PBG and KSH together on screen. I hope they have strong chemistry even the plot may not be focused on romance.
From what I have seen they have very nice friend/big bro little sis chemistry in real life but I don’t think PBG has believable romantic chemistry with his female co-stars so I’m not expecting much.
haha..I sorta agree with you about PBG’s love lines on screen. He sometimes reminded me of my fave Chinese actor, Xiao Zhan. Both are extremely handsome IMO. I highly admire their charisma and onscreen presence. They can exude such a mean but cool aura in any conflict scenes that were just so mesmerizing. Nonetheless, their romantic stories on screen with various actresses, young or old, have never been the kind making my heart flutter LOL. Still, I found KSH had very believable chemistry with her MLs in some of her latest dramas regardless of plots being interesting or not. Therefore, I hope she and Bogum can show a spark of interesting interaction at least.
I have high hopes for this drama. The director and supporting cast are excellent and PBG is finally playing a character with a bit of grit and spunk rather than the succession of nicest, bestest boy roles he has played for ages. I hope this drama will be a “comeback” for KSH as her recent projects have been mediocre at best.
I know right. I haven’t really watch her after Tale of Nokdu. I think she always have great chemistry with her ML. I really love her chemistry with Song Kang in love alarm. But the director decide to pair her with the second ML instead. What a bummer. I think her chemistry with PBG is so cute. She’s gonna play the heartless girl and PBG is a loser in love. I’m sold at this point
The director didn’t pair her up, its a webtoon adaptation and that’s how the story went.
Because Jung Ga Ram is the first male lead in Love Alarm in the first place and not Song Kang. Not only the original material but also the official billing says so. It’s just that the majority of the audience prefers her with second leads like in School 2015.
A heartless girl wooing a boy loser in love? LOL. That sounds like a rom com though. Must be fun. I agree KSH had great chemistry with her MLs. They were all cute and sweet together even though I was not necessarily sold by the stories. She is a good actress.
@Sunny, I just googled. The director has two of my fav Kdramas under her belt, Beyond Evil and The Good Bad Mother. Wow! That even keeps my expectation higher. I know nothing about the writer though, yet to watch Life on Mars that fans have recommended many times. Good to know this. Thank you.
Yes! She has directed some excellent dramas so I can’t wait to see what she does here.
