C-actor Hu Yi Tian in News as His Fans Upset that He Hasn’t Been on a Film Set in Over Two Years
So this is the same thing that happened to C-actor Deng Wei in recent two years, that he went over a year without being on a filming set. He ended up breaking the drought earlier this year as he got cast and started filming Days of Seclusion and Love, so now the same concern has been moved over to fellow actor Hu Yi Tian. He’s been in the news this week as his fans kicked up a storm upset over him not being on a filming set for two years now. It may not seem that long as last year he had a moderate hit on the small screen with Blossoms in Adversity and modern drama Men in Love, but those were filmed over two years ago so he really hasn’t been on set since. I don’t even like Hu Yi Tian but feel bad for his career to be thus stalled C-ent is so competitive and any meaningful gap in having projects air creates a bigger hill to climb back top.
His own silly action left his A-list career in ruins. But he did have a steady amount of work for afew years. Some of his later dramas were watchable. I enjoyed his Republican era dramas.
He left Huace Film and Television and his resources dried up. But he is still in variety shows and has CFs, he is still making money. Not jobless. That is still not a bad position to be in.
Never thought he had an A-list career to begin with but are you talking about the rumors of him being promiscuous or of him dissing Shen Yue? Or did he do something else?
I guess he lost the appeal to be casted? To me he is a so so actor. His republican era dramas were great but anything else turned me off. Seems to be the characters he chooses they just don’t have much impact. For the blossom in adversity one, the female cast stole the show so he just seemed like an accessory in it. But if he found an alternative like someone mentioned that’s good too. Who knows maybe we will hear some news?🤷🏻♀️
Poor man was dragged into the news to cover for WYB who hasn’t been on a film set for years. Li Aiqing came back into the news for being sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve and the spotlight fell back onto WYB as Li Aiqing had been exposed to liking men. After all, the only film projects that Li Aiqing sponsored were WYB’s.
But of course, once this news came out Yuehua started its usual tactics of muddling the waters by replacing WYB’s name with his previous co-stars and random unrelated celebrities. Don’t be surprise if you see random YXHs and articles claiming Li Aiqing sponsored someone else instead. As long as you do your own investigation on the timelines, you will see that the only film projects that Li Aiqing sponsored for real were WYB’s. WYB hasn’t been able to join any film set ever since Li Aiqing was arrested, and whenever Yuehua released any rumors of him being casted for some project, that project quickly denies casting him.
When googled Li Aiqing…it is not just Wang Yibo’s name that pops up. It is also another. Those had old dates on the articles. I dont follow such news. I just watch dramas I like. But I was surprised Li Aiqing was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve, his crimes must be very bad. He seriously offended someone higher. Liking men and sponsoring some of their projects, I really dont see what is wrong with it if it is all above board.
But to use Hu Yitian to divert media attention may not be so as Hu Yi Tain popularity is nothing like Wang Yibo’s. Hu Yitian will just get people chatting for afew mins… then moved on. His news will not last longer then 1 day. There is more likely a state interest to not drag Li Aiqing news into media. Thus we only find it in small time media.. That is a state Censorship effort.
As for Wang Yibo not filming, I suspect it is his own choice. He does not like enjoy too much media attention after the crazy few years. He just wants space to do things he likes. He is not lacking of money as he still have good CFs..
But it’s not above board. Li Aiqing was arrested for corruption and bribery involving s*x, guess where the bribery occurred. Li Aiqing sponsored the movies Born To Fly and One And Only. It’s not state censorship because Li Aiqing’s case appeared in proper news, only news and hot searches of WYB being involved with him were taken down.
There’s no such thing as Chinese celebrities not filming due to their own choice when the whole C-ent industry is in recession, everyone’s fighting to land a drama/movie role. Even Zhao Lusi who supposedly needs much rest due to depression etc is keen to go back into filming as her agency constantly releases news about her high popularity overseas, hoping to score a drama.
It’s no coincidence that WYB stopped getting drama/movie roles after Li Aiqing got arrested, it’s also no coincidence that WYB flew out of China when Li Aiqing got sentenced.
And if WYB doesn’t enjoy media attention, why was his name constantly on bought hot searches on weibo about random boring stuff? If he has so much choice, surely he can ask his agency to stop buying those hot searches? If he doesn’t have much choice, then why wasn’t his agency able to land him any drama/movie roles since 2023?
I don’t get why you would link Li Aiqing’s crimes being exposed to him offending someone higher either. It’s like saying his corruption and bribery crimes are okay if he didn’t offend someone higher?

Even the most wealthy, if offends someone of power, can be dragged and humbled. Thus I said Li Aiqing must have offended someone of power. But it seems to me that I hear of government officials getting arrested for corruption more frequently for China than other countries, which is a good thing imo. Also agree, never saw The Untamed and not a fan of WYB but pre-breakout, during his breakout, and post-breakout, saw a bit of him on Hunan TV show Day Day Up as a minor supporting host. Seen him several times making appearances at Hunan TV new year concerts and whatnot here and there. Never got the impression that he’s attention seeking or pretentious. To be honest, he looks sleepy most of the time lol.

Not exactly major entertainment news. Really only major to those two fandoms. Mostly mutual mudslinging to slander and cause damage to their reputation.
Lots of names appear on Weibo hot searches. WYB definitely not a “constant” name on hot search. It is always changing but actually, most recently, king of hot searches for random boring stuff and watery data is another actor.
There is such a thing as not filming due to personal choice – not get burnt out, recharge, live life, do other things, gain new inspiration. Not everyone is fighting to land a drama/movie role and working nonstop. Even fans are comfortable with the idea of their fave taking a break. Perfect example is Bai Lu. She’s constantly filming and even her fans want her to rest and fire up her creative juices. Maybe her agency isn’t letting her but fans are comfortable with their girl taking a break. The whole C-Ent industry being in recession – that’s economics so then you’ll have to provide some stats. For now, it doesn’t look too bad with the amount of trash being produced starring a bunch of B-listers fighting for top billing.

Everyone is entitled to comment as long as they are not abusive. Lilith is a long time member and she regularly comments on this site. This is all within her rights. Koala have no issues with her. And who she like or who she does not is her own, she only needs to answer to herself and no one else, especially stalkers like you.
You digging out her history just to hopefully shame her is a form of cyber bullying. It always starts small and than it grows. Such behaviour is unsightly and also a very shameful practise. @Sherry, you need to focus on your own life instead of attacking people for their personal opinions that is different from yourself. I always felt it was just a bait thrown into waters to check public reaction to Hu Yitian’s leading any dramas. If there are huge backlash, viewers dont want to watch him, the data will show it, he will not get more lead role works. But viewers are still supporting him enough and he is getting a role. It is Media play to be honest.

The latest update I saw was his fans kicking up a fuss over being second billing to Tian Xiwei, which imo is not very smart. He no longer has enough popularity to warrant first billing status and I heard he also no longer has big agency backing him while Tian Xiwei still has. In such recession times for C-ent, fans should be thankful that a drama still cast him as a lead role after him not getting any roles for over 2 years, not try to mess up his opportunities.

Let me tell you this. I only said Dilraba is my main heartthrob because someone here insisted that I have a main heartthrob. I’ve always maintained that I like multiple celebrities and does not stan anyone in particular. Dilraba can be my main heartthrob today, tomorrow it can be Wang Hedi, the day after can be Xiao Zhan, then next week it can be Kim Yoojung. What I abhor is people like you trying to pin me down as one celebrity’s fan in order to drag that celebrity. So, buzz off.

Like and support but deny being a fan with the reasoning that I like many celebrities so instead of being a fan of all of them, all my likes cancel each other out and I’m not a fan of anyone in particular. I appear unbiased and legitimate when I stan my fave because I stan many celebrities. I can also protect my fave when I tear other celebrities down because I’ve already dissociated myself from my fave. 🙄

His appearance was pretty lowkey. He spent most of the time in the kitchen with the two professional chefs. I don’t know if that was his preference over welcoming and serving guests but I thought he was pretty diligent about helping out in the kitchen with prepping and cooking.
