Caesar Wu and Yue Yu Ting Confirmed for the Short Drama Version of The Prisoner of Beauty Titled Yield to You
Oh this is going to be spicy, lol. The short C-drama version of The Prisoner of Beauty has confirmed the leads and it will be Caesar Wu and Yue Yu Ting. Caesar was best known for being in the popular most recent C-remake of Meteor Garden and last year was the supporting male lead in Blossoms in Adversity, he’s a bit stiff but has been doing steady dramas since MG in 2018 but hasn’t had his male lead breakout (yet). While Yue Yu Ting is in short drama after short drama as her bread and butter so this will be right up her alley. The short drama version has the title Yield to You which is more an analogous translation of the novel title of Bent at the Waist (折腰 Zhe Yao). No clue if this drama will drop before year end but it may make for a weird most the leads making out parallel universe watch alongside the more straightlaced standard drama version.

Well I like him. He’s a better looking and also a better actor than LYN. TPoB failed me thanks to the tiring presence of the ML. I may give a shot to this short drama.

I get you all expect more intimacy and such but normally short dramas are like a little more expressive but still not that gone and excessive like they say. I just don’t see why they do this? They did this with hidden love as well not that long ago and it was so basic and not so in depth like the original. I remember only one drama comes to mind that had two versions almost back to back called unrequited love. Both versions were nearly the same and not much to brag about. So weird that they do this but to each their own.
I watch anything with Yue Yu Ting in historicals. She Da Queen.
