Jeon Ji Hyun and Lee Byung Hun in Talks for Spy K-drama The Koreans Adapted From Critically Acclaimed US Show The Americans — 19 Comments

  1. There we go another show with LBH. My view of him I has really been impacted since his person scandal a few years ago and really puts a damper on all the shows he is cast in. Sigh

  2. I love them both so much! And they’re such amazing actors and I can see them having amazing chemistry too. I’m not a huge fan of Ahn Gilho, but I’ll take it because this cast is chefs kiss. Super excited!!

  3. Haven’t seen much of his stuff but he’s a good actor and good looking. I like his wife, she plays strong-minded, quirky, individual women, that I’ve seen, the sort of characters I far prefer to the pretty but inane, vacuous type. Anyway, they’re still together so I guess she forgave him for whatever he did or didn’t do.

Son Ye Jin, not one of my favourites but still, someone who has enough clout to work with who she does or doesn’t want to, has just done something with him, too. Guess she didn’t care too much, either. And now Jun Ji Hyun, yet another woman who’s a big name, picky and yet chooses to work with him.

I’ll wait for how it’s rated – if it’s supposedly good I’ll watch it, if not, probably won’t. Too many dramas too little time to view.

    • Son Ye Jin did it for Park Chan Wook. She’d be stupid not to do that movie when a worlrd famous director offered her a part. She declined Iris with Lee Byung Hun so it’s not like she’s itching to work with him alone.

      • Iris? Haven’t seen it but just googled. From 16 years ago, a big success for Kim Tae Hee, apparently, way back then. Wonder why SYJ chose not to do it? From what I read, BH was great in it, so I’ll check it out.

      • Yes, SYJ accepted the role because of the director, as did everyone else in the cast. She declined Iris not because of LBH but because she was already tied to another project. From what I remember from past interviews, she was definitely open to working with LBH, but it’s only this time that their schedules and opportunities finally aligned.

  4. No matter how people feel about him as a person, he’s a great actor. And his wife has obviously forgiven him since they’re still together and even had another kid, so why are some of you still up in arms about him? The wife’s forgiveness is what matters, it’s not like you’re the ones married to him!

  5. His private life aside that is his business, I’ve never liked his dramas anyway. His scandal doesn’t help. I’m not a huge fan of JJH either. Therefore, this casting is not appealing to me, simple as it is. More likely, I won’t check it out unless the review is really good.

  6. JJH has been working non-stop since last year. She hasn’t worked this much since before her marriage. Guess now she’s also got to provide for the family after her husband’s embezzlement charges.
