Xu Kai and Wei Zhe Ming Cast in Hunan TV’s Tang Dynasty Investigation C-drama Ting Feng Ling to Start Filming This Month September 2025
So it’s clear the recent scandal with Xu Kai and his ex-girlfriend has no immediate impact on his career. It didn’t hurt Moonlit Reunion, which didn’t do very well but continued to track okay through the entire run even after the scandal arose. Now he’s heading into production for a new C-drama titled Ting Feng Ling (听风令 Listening Wind Orders) adapted from a novel and is a straight investigation and political drama set in the Tang Dynasty. It’s a two male lead drama and the other male lead is Wei Zhe Ming. I’m sure actresses will be cast but will be playing supporting males to the two actors. Investigation dramas have been on a roll this year Coroner’s Diary and The Wanted Detective, and Bai Lu has a big one coming out the Unveil: Jadewind. Let’s see if the trend on this genre continues for the remainder of the year with new dramas yet to be announced.
The period detective genre is one I like, so long as it is done well so, if it is, I will watch.
It quite clearly shows that if the capital and or the platform like an actor, nothing else like decent behaviour, talent or skills matters.
C-drama productions are slowly but surely working on their own demise.
I have a soft spot for WZM after “You Are My Secret,” so glad to hear he is getting a chance to be a male lead in a bigger production.
I’m not sure if XK’s popularity is dampened or not. But I’m sure his costar is gonna carry the drama again. LOL.
Well, it’s happening again and again. But i wonder if this will have more impacts on his rumor partner. She’s still a nugu. And boombayah..
I hate unfaithful person. I hope everyone who hurts someone else will pay the price. Nevertheless, i hope the rumor is untrue.
