Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae Bring Their Best Poses for Marie Claire Korea Pictorial to Promote K-drama Dear X
The dark twisty thriller K-drama Dear X is a few weeks away from premiering on cable network TVING on November 6th and the promos keep on captivating. The latest is a Marie Claire Korea pictorial with leads Kim Yoo Jung and Kim Young Dae done in black and white going for muted sleek visuals. Kim Yoo Jung is already previewing her psychotic social climber character intensity in all the previews and it’s going to her one-woman show for the most part, so Kim Young Dae as the male lead doesn’t really worry me as much with his much more limited range. He makes up for it in rocking the visuals lol, plus I’m so nervous/excited for Kim Yoo Jung to do a true femme fatale role.

I’m so fond of KYD that I’m excited about this drama. His Shooting Stars is one of my all time fav K rom coms. I hope to see KYJ up her game cuz Koala proclaimed that the burden will be on her shoulders though. LOL.
I don’t find his acting range limited though. Granted, I haven’t seen him in a vividly memorable heartbreaking/crying scene yet (like how I’ve seen Nam Joo Hyuk in Radiant, Seo Kang Joon in Undercover High School, Lee Dong Wook in Touch Your Heart) but comedic, intense, villainous, good guy, romantic—I’ve seen him do well in a bunch of roles. I sometimes see a shadow of Gang Dong Won in him. Maybe he just needs to choose better, more award-winning types of projects? Or just try action flicks for a change.
