Disney+ Releases First Teaser Stills of Suzy and Kim Sun Ho in Supernatural Eerie K-drama Delusion
It was preview week for Disney+ on their upcoming 2026 slate of K-dramas so the first look teaser is also out for supernatural themed K-drama Delusion. It’s adapted from the same name dark webtoon and stars Suzy and Kim Sun Ho in a change of their usual bright and sunshiny image, and of course a reunion from Start-up. Her character is the owner of a mysterious hotel that hires his painter character to paint her portrait and he comes to realize she doesn’t age. I haven’t read the webtoon but I’m guessing vampire hence all the dark moody vibes. K-netizens are saying they look spot on for the characters but per usual there are concerns with Suzy’s acting and also Kim Sun Ho making a male lead comeback in drama land despite it being four years after his scandal which in the grander scheme of scandals is really much ado about what is essentially his being a very shitty boyfriend.

Suzy surprised me with her actin in Anna and Donna. I adore her in those two dramas. I also liked her in While you were sleeping. But her most recent Genie drama failed to convince me of her as a psychopath. She was monotone and boring in Genie. This somehow showed that she’s still got the room to broaden her acting range. Perhaps she can radiate that antiheroine charm again as she did in Anna.
It seems Kdrama produced by OTT has been on trend of dark themes recently, understandable cuz fantasy, mystery, and thrillers etc. have appeal to larger international audience. But I’m somehow tired of this particular genre focused on maniacs as leading characters. I attribute this fatigue to My Dear X’s antiheroine. MDX’s ruthless , cruel, lunatic, and revengeful beach freaks me out. LOL. I don’t have any compassion for the main character. Her past misery doesn’t justify her evilness. Kim Yoo Jung did solidly well portraying the madness though. Nonetheless, I can’t bring myself to hate her character either. If the role were assumed by a different actress such as Lim Ji-yeon, I might be able to hate that psycho as much as I do about LJY’s antagonistic character in the Glory. There is still a subtle gap between mesmerizing and solid acting. KYJ somehow still exuded adorably nice girl vibes that made heroine’s heinous eccentricity underwhelming. That being said, kudos to her for taking this challenging project. It’s legit to consider this drama a breakthrough of her acting career.
I’m not sure if I still have any stomach to watch another sickening psycho drama after My Dear X. I may need to get back to some rosy old-school Kdrama for a really restful break. LOL
This is the webtoon description: It’s 1935 in Gyeongseong, and struggling artist Iho Yun has been commissioned by the reclusive, elderly Madam Jeonghwa Song to paint a portrait. Madam Jeonghwa Song allows Iho to set eyes upon her — an unprecedented event — and standing before him is a young woman. But why does she ask him to paint an elderly version of her? “Don’t finish the portrait.” Tucked between the previous artist’s paint tubes is an ominous letter. Iho learns that no artist has left Madam Song’s abode alive or of sound mind. Just what is she hiding and what will happen if Iho finishes the portrait?
Sounds weird for sure. I know the male lead can act well but him being a crappy boyfriend in real life is such a turn off for romance dramas. Maybe the story is more dark story and less romance. All I know is not my cup of tea and I only liked Suzy in Dream High and so so in while you were sleeping. It would be nice if a good romantic comedy with some depth like back in the day came. But most romantic comedies lately are so flat.
Everyone calling him a “crappy boyfriend”, but to this day, I still have yet to see any evidence that shows that LOL. Meanwhile there’s plenty of evidence showing it’s the girlfriend who’s the bad person. Poor guy, seems like his name will never be cleared in some people’s eyes despite him releasing evidences
Definitely sounds interesting and these still photos do intrigue me a lot! Will be seated for this definitely lol.
By the way, can someone tell me why Kim Sun Ho is still being hated on other sites? Last I remember from that drama with his ex is that Dispatch came out with a bunch of evidence that the ex-girlfriend was the sh*tty one in the relationship and that she lied, and that KSH was actually a devoted boyfriend? I don’t know, that’s all I could remember so I’m confused why people still hate him lol. Someone fill me in
lol im just as confused. didn’t literally everyone, from their friends (even the ex girlfriend’s friends) to staffs and extras and even freaking dispatch, came out to vouch for kim seonho’s character and innocence? i remember that after dispatch came out with the receipts, the majority of comments from netizens were like, “see? this is why you shouldn’t judge harshly first before you know the full truth”, and everyone agreeing that seonho was the victim and was merely witch-hunted. everyone was cheering for him to come back. from what ive read from his text messages to the ex girlfriend, he was happy when she revealed that she was pregnant, he even called it a “blessing”. he also took care of her while she was pregnant. they even stayed in a relationship for quite a while after that. and he was clearly willing to raise the kid. and now suddenly, everyone hates him again? i don’t get it lol
The last line is so true, especially when he plays role as a green flag guy like in tangerine. I remember on korean forum most post for tangerine either exclude him or just hate him. That said, he seems to be investor darling with all his high profile upcoming project. Is it the strength of his international fandom?
