Lee Min Ho and Moon Ga Young in Talks for Romance Sageuk K-drama Scent of the Night
Oh this is an interesting potential onscreen pairing. K-ent is reporting that Lee Min Ho and Moon Ga Young have been offered the leads in the sageuk romance K-drama Scent of the Night. It’s adapted from the same name webtoon and will be directed by PD Lee Eun Bok of Descendants of the Sun and Dear X fame among his many dramas. It tells of an era where women were controlled and repressed where the female lead wants to break free while the male lead needs to hid his feelings and live within life’s constraints. I think it’s a fauxcest too where the male lead is a poor son adopted into the rich female lead’s family. Not sure if either or both will accept but sageuks are having a nice run recently so might as well get on the bandwagon.
When I saw the news I was so giddy, majorly because of Min ho oppa of course 🤗. I hope they both accept. Soo exciting!!
Oh I enjoyed watching LMH so much in Faith. He exuded right aura for fighter and warrior.
Faith, despite all its production flaws and it being one of the least glossy LMH dramas, is probably one of my most favorite historical romance dramas out there. He suits the role well and he paired well with Kim Hee Sun. The OST was fantastic too.
I agree with this! I feel like that drama was too early for that genre and type of story you know? Especially for Kdrama world.
Its been so many years afterwards but still no costume drama can come close to Faith..

Is this going to be an adult drama, as the original material is described? I saw that the female MC grew up thinking that the male MC is her half-brother, which is… provocative and borderline makjang, I guess. Correct me if I am wrong.
I have a soft spot for LMH. He might not be the best actor, but I still like seeing him on my screen. Looking forward to seeing him in a saeguk!
I do too. I find that he’s quite watchable. At least he doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. T
I sometimes feel like he’s not quite meant for leading man roles and may surprise us once he ages onto other roles. Wish him and Moon Ga Young the best on this drama.
Looking forward to this if they accept. I comepletly forgot about Faith and was thinking this was his first saeguk. I enjoyed him in Pachinko and wish he could get more roles like that and dramas with the same tone. I hope at the very least they can finish the drama off with a 3rd and final season if they can’t get the four season arc they originally wanted. I would love to see him work with Kim Min-ha again; they had great chemistry together.
