TW-tabloids Go Wild with News that F4 is Reuniting at Concert this December in Shanghai But Without Member Ken Chu and Adding Top TW-singers Jay Chou and Ashin of Mayday as Special Guests
Nothing like a member getting kicked/left out conflict that drum up way more publicity than just a regular announcement of a reunion concert for a top TW-group. F4 announced this week that it was holding a concert over a few nights in Shanghai later this month in December called the F ✦ Forever City of Stars Tour and with it released a new single in close to twenty years. The new single is titled “Forever Forever” and fans were shocked to see only members Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Vanness Wu alongside special guests Jay Chou and Ashin of Mayday in the cover art and music video. This is a banging lineup but everyone was only talking about member Ken Chu missing, and it ramped up with Ken’s side saying he was not asked to join and he only knew he was left out when the announcement of the new single and concert came out. There were rumors that Ken leaked the reunion when it was to be kept top secret until the announcement hence he was kicked out. Then Ken did a livestream where he said he was in talks with the production company but after he rejected their three asks then no further communication happened. That’s when all sympathy evaporated for Ken since it’s clear he was the only who said no and the production company did not continue to negotiate or beg him and moved in a different direction. Netizens say Ken brought this on himself, including previous comments that he made that he never really liked F4 songs, that he wasn’t friends in real life with the other members, that he was salty at always being considered the least attractive/talented member, etc. The manager of Mayday is considered to be shading Ken after he posted “Please go look at yourself first” lol. Word.
