Youku Airdrops Remake of My Ahjusshi the C-drama Loving Strangers with Mark Chao and Zhang Zi Feng
I appreciate the airing of dramas when it aligns with the season in the narrative, so much of Shine on Me that aired a few weeks ago captured the winter romance as it blossoms into spring and summer love. Today on January 10th Youku has airdropped without any warning the modern C-drama Loving Strangers with the Chinese title 秋雪漫过的冬天 which means Autumn Snow Passing Slowing on a Winter Day. All I need to say is that its a remake of award winning and hit K-drama My Ahjusshi (My Mister) and everyone will know what it’s about. The leads are Mark Chao with rising young actress Zhang Zi Feng taking over the roles originated by Lee Seon Kyun and IU. While the drama seems sad and depressing it’s actually hopeful and uplifting for those who haven’t watched it before. If this version is good and also brings more viewers back to the original then what a way to also pay tribute to the since passed Lee Seon Kyun.

Preview for Loving Strangers:

Indeed, it’d be fantastic if this C-remake can bring new audience to the original My Ahjusshi – the best Kdrama in my book.
Mark Chao seems becoming a specialist in remake of acclaimed Kdramas, first Misaeng and now this.
Mark Chao can’t hold a candle to late actor Lee Seon Kyun imo, sorry…better give the original a rewatch💅
he IS better than ori…don’t be sorry lmao
So good! All of them.
