A new C-drama has been softly confirmed this week and it’s titled Feng Bu Qi (凤不栖) and is a sprawling war between various kingdoms and politics drama adapted from the novel Phoenix Empress. The leads will be Wu Jin Yan and Wei Zhe Ming, and fresh pairing and probably a selection that skews towards acting ability over buzzy stars. I’m glad this is the final casting as the male lead originally in discussion was Hou Ming Hao and I’m glad it’s not him because he’s crossed the over-exposed line for me last year with I believe four dramas aired. Filming will begin in March 2026 so right after the lunar new year holidays and I’m excited to see the first costume stills.
