Wang Xing Yue and Deng En Xi Deliver Modern Romance Vibes in Filming Snaps From the Set of C-drama A Love Confession
I am more a period C-drama girlie than I am a modern one, but whenever I watch a really addicting modern one it gets me excited for that genre for a period of time until the high dies down lol. I really enjoyed Shine on Me last month so now I’m more excited than usual as I watch one of my faves Wang Xing Yue back in the modern realm as he filmed C-drama A Love Confession. His female lead is Deng En Xi who around his age is but less polished onscreen, it always felt like Wang Xing Yue was this late teen who burst onto the acting stage fully formed with mature onscreen gravitas. These two are doing the school romance with a time jump to adulthood in this drama, and some of the early netizen feedback that is Wang Xing Yue can’t pull off he high school boy look. I think he’s young enough to be convincing but agree he just gives off a serious and grown up vibe all the time.

Modern romance really delivered last year!! So i’m looking forward to this one
I am so addicted to Wang Xing Yue currently.
WXY is non-existent in the recent investigative drama with Bai Lu, playing 2nd fiddle to the female lead. I expect him to have more significant presence in this modern drama since the FL is completely foreign to me.
you also have a disturbed mentality like a troll @Shayeli
if he’s nonexistent, bad, and inconsistent, isn’t that better? that way you can get out of his way once and for all and stop insulting him
You’re right. I apologize for being narrow-minded and failing to see the bigger picture. His presence in Unveil: Jadewind is one of the best I’ve seen so far this year.
Thanks to @Shayeli, I didn’t even notice there were such a clownish crowd of heckle-rabblers pretending me. lmao.
@Somebody: Itโs nothing new to me, as last year Liu Yuning fans were raging at me just because I didnโt find him appealing as the rumoured male lead for Inferno of Wings. Iโve watched his dramas purely for the sake of his leading ladies.
My experience with Wang Xing Yue is different; Iโve been disappointed because he hasnโt shone quite as brightly as he did in The Double. Heโs already got the gorgeous looks. A strong, charismatic presence wouldnโt go amiss. Iโm waiting for Love in Red Dust to premiere to see if I get a new impression just as I did with Chen Feiyu in Love Story in the 1970s.
The only good thing Iโve recently gained from exploring C-dramas is that Iโve found solid actors like Miles Wei, Zhou Yiran, Qian Tianyu, Wang Ying Lu and Zhang Xueying (and to think Iโve bumped into Princess Silver so many times, itโs a shame there arenโt new shows with her as main lead).
You people are so annoying. FYI wang Xingyue graduated from the Acting Department at the Central Academy of Drama. None of the actors you mentioned attended that prestigious school but if you can’t stop thinking about him it’s because you’re a despicable person who gets a kick out of insulting him and seeking out people with your own low moral standards to join in your malice.
Oh, Central Academy of Drama. The high number of mediocre actors (such as Yang Yang, Qiao Xin, Dong Sicheng) who have been given diplomas leads me to question if the teachings are in decline because the contrast with talents such as Gong Li, Wang Kai, Bai Baihe, Sophie Zhang.
My values are decent. I don’t go through life stealing nicknames in forums, nor harassing those who have not praised the actors I like.๐คฃ
I don’t even remember this post if I don’t see that you’re using part of my nickname in yours. LOL!
I just dont like people who try to put him down under the guise of constructive criticism
If Wang Xingye doesnt have what youre looking for just ignore him
Many people including me appreciate him despite his acting flaws like nobody is perfect
๐
Oh it’s been a while WXY in romance drama. Like him on his 2022 First love – with Tian Xi Wei. Pretty much unknown at the time (both of them). It was a pretty decent college romcom. Unforgettable bathroom episode so freaking hilarious. Last romcom scene where I’ve laughed so hard unable to catch my breath.
Wang Xing Yue was an actor I considered promising because of his charm in The Double. However, now that I’ve seen his work before and after his breakthrough, he has disappeared from my radar, which included young talents such as Liu Haocun and Zhang Jingyi. I have replaced him with Zhou Yi Ran.
Deng En Xi, for her part, was compelling in Hunting (2025).
god. you are so annoying.
nobody’s forcing you to watch him.
you’re jealous that your favourites aren’t as successful as him, h*e.
Oh, an insult. LOL. If you resort to changing the subject by bringing up lame tactics such as mentioning success, I will assume that you have nothing worthwhile to add about his ACTING SKILLS, especially considering that the names I have mentioned are also rising actors just like him. The only difference is that they have proven to be MORE consistent in their screen presence, speech delivery, and mannerisms.
these haters watch all of xingyue’s dramas just to criticize him. they only see the bad. we as fans are chill until they start spewing their venom.
just get lost. is that hard?
Can’t Wang Xing Yue’s popularity give you a sense of security and superiority, and that’s why you want those of us who don’t have all praise for him to stop commenting? LOL!
@Shayeli, I used to appreciate a couple of your opinions but now I see you only have a negative bias towards WXY.
A big LOL to identity thieves who make tricks to make their narrative fit. Rabid fans tactics don’t work. But you’re trying HARD, so I hope the pay is high.๐
@Shayeli, Nice try from these rabid bananas! I just got offline from a meeting and watched the circus show from these trolling bots while taking afternoon break. I couldn’t help laughing out really loud in my office. Without your mention, I missed this whole comedy in real time. lol.
I can imagine these clowns must be living in despair seething most of the time. Poor them! lol
Oh, I forgot. They will surely make adjustments to the adaptation because the actress is 20 years old and she will be playing a character who is a surgeon in the original source. Here, she may just be one in the making, or, a person who was born with super duper abilities (in C-dramas, anything is possible even though there is no logic to support it). Lol.
hahahaha…….
@SHAYELI is still a hater and surely came looking for carrion birds like her there are a lot of naysayers on this blog
๐คฃ
I’m reading the novel. I’m about halfway through and there’s a lot of action (and blood LOL). The leads’ school events are only an introduction to the characters. There is also a social comment that I know censorship is not going to like.๐
Also, page by page, the character that Wang Xingyue is going to play goes through moments that include a lot of emotional resonance. I hope he gives his best, it takes quite a range. I still want to have faith in him as an actor, even if it’s just a little bit.
oh hater if you don’t even like him why insist on watching him as if you and his naysayers were worth in his life? your filthy faith does not feed him or change that he will continue to have fans who appreciate him as he is and not under the comparison of actors who could make a false step as well. riffraff like you will never know what it is to value effort, you don’t even know basic manners. all in your heart is hate, hate and hate. no one is born with acting talent, it’s a hard profession. but it’s easy to skip his dramas. if you can’t do it, you should go knowing that you’re vile. you and those who call him fluke or one-time wonder are just trowing vitriol. he is bigger than your nugu fave Qin Tian Yu anyways, so what’s even the point of talking about acting skills?
THIS! @dangermousie is right about the comments section on this blog, itโs better to read than the actual article.๐

I hope your blood pressure didn’t spike while you were writing your attempts at insults, which only ended up making me laugh. LOL! Qin Tian Yu isn’t affiliated with a powerful agency like Huanyu Entertainment, and judging by the fact that he’s only been acting in supporting and minor roles for years to this day, it’s seems that he has no connections. The story speaks for itself, and you know it, which is why the only positive thing you can say about Wang Xingyue is his popularity as if he were the only one in the industry. You sound like a broken record. LOL. Why do you like the idea of โโyour fave being an empty container?๐
Wow. What’s up with the minions above? No one is insulting or slandering their Chinese “god” but just because they didn’t find glazing for him, they are whining. Lmfao. Rabid fans are a different breed indeed. I never considered Wang Xing Yue to have an outstanding performance in The Double, not when there were Li Meng, Joe Chen, and Liang Yong Qi. Wang Xing Yue was appealing and charismatic, but there were scenes where his facial expressions were off and didn’t coordinate with his delivery speech (that was good overall). He was forgettable in his next works which indicates that he needs certain characters and certain scripts to make an impression. He is not a solid actor by his own strength YET. But how long do we need to wait?
Can’t agree more. Waiting is tiring and even more so when the signs are confusing. LOL. For my part, I simply lower expectations. One or two roles are not enough to convince me that they are competent actors, and even less so when their filmography is mostly composed of main roles. I am more flexible if it comes to supporting participations.
