SBS Heads into Production of Good Partner 2 with Returning Jang Nara and New Addition of Park Hae Jin and Kim Hye Yoon
The start of 2026 in K-drama land hasn’t been smooth. Netflix had a good showing with Can This Love be Translated but shortly thereafter male lead Kim Sun Ho got into a tax evasion scandal. Only Ji Sung and The Judge Returns is doing well in K-drama land but not enough to generate stronger buzz. So SBS really needs to get moving on its planned second season with Good Partner 2, with female lead Jang Nara returning and the new addition of additional leads Park Hae Jin and Kim Hye Yoon. This feels like it could have its own legs beyond being the second season of the popular 2024 drama thanks to a fresh lineup but with the same construct and execution. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen Park Hae Jin and he’s always solid and Kim Hye Yoon really needs a good drama story for her talents as her most recent outing with No Tail to Tell is a big bust as well.

No wonder you haven’t seen Park Hae Jin anywhere he basically got banned in TVN for saying his screentime was reduced in Cheese in the Trap compared to (at that time newcomer) Seo Kangjun. Since then he has only appeared on public netoworks (KBS, SBS and MBC…
Jang Nara will find new insights into her character’s development with the help of the divorce cases she takes on. Also looking forward to more scenes with her daughter. I hope their relationship is given even more screen time than in season 1. For me, it was one of the highlights. Such great acting from both.
Kim Hye Yoon is one busy bee. 1 drama released, 2 dramas in pre-production, 2 movies finished, ready to release, one more film in pre-production stage, filming variety in between….Good for her. Can’t wait to see more of her honestly. Looking forward to Good Partner season 2.
I barely heard about her last year since she didn’t have any new dramas or movies.
But this year, it seems like a lot of her projects will finally be released because she’s been filming a lot since her last drama 2 years ago.
Let’s see how it goes. So far, SBS dramas with multiple seasons usually turn out great, like Dr. Romantic and Taxi Driver. Season 1 was really good, and this new lineup still looks solid since the two new cast members are strong actors too.
I’m not fan they didn’t wait for the whole original casting. But they didn’t really ask Nam Ji-hyun, it’s not fair when they want PO back? He’s a bad actor!
