MBC Romance Drama Perfect Crown with IU and Byun Woo Seok Releases New Stills and Confirms April 10th Premiere — 28 Comments

  1. My world!!! The perfection that is bws! Also IU just gets prettier and younger with the passing of each year, I have given up on her ever aging at all or even remotely looking her age. Anyways, all the posters are giving perfection, pic 3 where she’s hugging him, the expression on his face, I am Soo excited, it’s going to be awesome, I pray so with all of my heart 💜💜

      • Yeah fr lol. And not to mention, IU is just in her early 30s, she’s YOUNG, of course she’s gonna look young! People really expect you to turn wrinkly and old-looking when you turn 30, but it’s definitely not true for most women, especially if the woman takes care of herself. I’m surrounded by 20-somethings and 30-somethings at my work, and their faces pretty much look the same lol. At early 30s, you literally just got out of your 20s, of course you won’t look that different from your 20s self lmao

  2. Byeon Woo Seok has had a natural progression in his filmography. He started with supporting and guest roles, moved on to coprotagonist, and finally Lovely Runner catapulted him. Despite the passage of time, I still think there is nothing particularly remarkable about him in terms of acting; he is simply adequate. I’ve been more impressed by other names from the’91 class such as Park Hyungsik and Wi Hajoon. And, as I’ve mentioned in other threads, I find it difficult to continue supporting the potential of actors who have been in the industry for almost a decade. LOL.

I don’t have an opinion on IU as an actress because I haven’t seen her in anything yet.

    • I got why many fangirls swooned over BWS in LR. He was good in there. Nonetheless, he has not convinced me of his versatility yet. His aura and acting were almost the same across several dramas I checked out. Except for LR, he was in supporting roles in all other dramas that perhaps limited his chance to shine. Therefore, although I wasn’t impressed by LR plot-wise, I’ll reserve my assessment about him until I watch him more in leading roles.

      • It is understandable that minor roles cannot provide room for versatility and range. There are limitations, but then I remember that actors like Namgoong Min were already solid in their beginnings. I can’t stop the comparisons, there are actors who have left the bar high. LOL. Kim Namgil is another name that comes to mind although I have never finished a drama of his. I should also stop checking past works of anyone who is good at x drama.😂

      • Good to know someone else shares the same taste as I do about some actors. NGM is one of my favs (I have a quite a few favs among K actors and only one fave C actor. lol. I only watched one drama of Kim Namgil. KNG was great in the Fiery Priest.

  3. i think she’s better at acting than him. she used to be frozen-in-time but now can deliver solid performances. if i remove lovely runner from his works, he is kinda bland.

      • He was a model first. And I remember they called him talentless starting with the fact that he used to being in minor catwalks and posing half-naked lol. I don’t think it’s a good idea to go around attacking someone’s origins.

  4. BWS was quite good in LR
I’s also evident that his physique helped to accentuate the charm
    Double wonder

Unlike other users I’m not interested in checking past roles
I stick just with what I saw in the present looking forward
In any case I can only say that he was fine in the only drama of his I saw

People who dig into the past do so with malicious intentions and it shows

    • Your last statement is questionable and baseless. A few actors have become my all time favs because I checked out their past works including the ones with minor supporting roles and found they all have been consistently showing acting talent or potential throughout at least, if not advancing their craft progressively.

  5. She looks so basic and local. She was only local star and ride the kpop popularity to get some overseas came. She contributed zero to kpop global expansion but took the benefit and her pathetic fanbase think she contributed something. She is basic af and is no where global. Pathetic casting

    • How do you avoid looking like a local? Hahaha. There’s a hater out there, IU lives on in your head for free and strongly because you’re always checking her news to comment on something related to your sore p-ussy hahaha. Every single South Korean artist jumped on the K-pop popularity bandwagon but not all of them managed to build a fan base overseas. What benefits? Lololol! She herself has mentioned groups like 2NE1 and BTS for their relevance in the expansion of K-pop. At least double-check your English level. I suppose that writing with anger and all the filth you carry inside is leaving you half illiterate. Ups!

    • I mean, Dream High was the drama that gave IU her Hallyu popularity and that drama was a huge Hallyu hit. It was everywhere in my country when it aired. Hotel del Luna was a huge hit internationally too, as well as Moon Lovers. How the heck is she “local”? Lmao. The actors who I would call “local” are the likes of Ji Sung, Kim Nam Gil, Lee Bo Young, etc. I mean, no shade to those actors, they’re all great, and there’s nothing wrong with just being popular domestically. But I’m just giving examples of truly “local” celebrities. IU is definitely very popular overseas lol.

We get it, you don’t like IU for whatever reason, but try to at least be objective lol

      • And still her music wasn’t hit overseas till kpop expanded with bts and BLACKPINK. Lmao. Dream high wasn’t that big overseas and she is still local. She isn’t bts or bp. Lmao

She took the benefit but played no part in loop growth. A true vulture

      • @Vutureiusuzy, hahahaha! You’re so rotten you can’t even write an insult.

You’re looking for reasons to bash them with likeminded people without anyone there to snap you out of your delusions. Sadly, nobody pays attention to you on here, that’s why you’ve been on this site for years pretending to be different users, even though your terrible spelling betrays you. Lmfao. It’s insane how you keep up with every little detail about them to hate on, you’re more obsessed with them than their fans lol.

How can you complain that people hate Jisoo and Blackpink when you do the same thing to other women? I’ve even seen you use sexist insults. LOL.

    • Liu Yuning underwent cosmetic procedures in vain because he still looks ugly. I mean, between seeing people with obvious plastic surgery who look like cartoons and seeing an ugly man, I don’t know which is worse.

  6. Love the hanbok stills. Very elegant and somehow with a Japanese vibe. These two were students at the Royal School and were taking archery classes, hence the hanboks. The plot summary is out and sounds really thrilling, with the prince uniting with the outsider Chaebol girl to overthrow the whole monarchy/caste system. Really looking forward.

  7. Both are mid actors and mid looking and dont have the charisma or presence to carry off this type of roles. Always wondered how iu gets all these plump roles when her acting is nothing fantastic and she comes off cold and dry. He has been acting the same since forever and was just so freaking lucky that his LR role was a super green flag despite the FL hardcarrying the drama

    • Wait, so does the average person in the general population can look like them? LMFAO. Especially in the case of BWS who has height, a well-built body and a solid facial bone structure. He’s not my type but the average or mid man is far from him. I agree with your opinion about their acting chops though.

      • Yeah lol, people complain about “unrealistic beauty standards”, how beauty standards are just so high these days that it’s impossible to reach them, etc. But then in the same breath, these people call good-looking actors “mid” or “average-looking”, which just raises the bar even more, even for ordinary people.

Now, BWS’s visuals isn’t my cup of tea either, but I can still acknowledge that he has beautiful full lips, nice cheekbones, and other good features and he definitely doesn’t look like the average man lmao. And IU is very pretty as well. Are they Won Bin/Cha Eun Woo and Kim Tae Hee/Song Hye Kyo-level of beautiful? No. But these two are clearly good-looking people lol. But then again, even Margot Robbie gets called “mid” these days, so I guess only AI-looking people are considered good-looking now

  8. I had to laugh about that comment about them looking like pairs figure skaters in the first stills. I totally agree, looks totally bland. But I do like many of the following stills. I am really looking forwards to this drama.
