So this drama and casting was first announced late in 2023 but with the latest announcement from CJ ENM it appears to be definitely in the works. Ji Chang Wook and D.O. (Do Kyung Soo) will be starring in Sculptured City in a twisted revenge tale. It’s about an ordinary man who has his life manipulated into a hell and … Continue reading →
For a very specialized bank that originated for the agricultural sector, NH Bank (Nonghyub Bank) is a surprising hypebeast when it comes to selecting spokespersons. Earlier this year after Han So Hee got into a love train scandal with Ryu Jun Yeon and Hyeri, she lost a few endorsements and one of them was NB Bank. The Bank ended its endorsement deal with … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim Hye Yoon is definitely living her best Happy Girl Summer as opposed to the meme of the Hot Girl Summer that comes around every such season. She has been spotted many times in June already flying out for events overseas including the cast and crew reward vacation for Lovely Runner. Every time she’s at the airport she just … Continue reading →
The first Sweet Home was a hit for Netflix at the beginning of the platform’s rise in produced K-dramas but sadly Sweet Home 2 was a bloated mess so now the returning Sweet Home 3 just feels anticlimactic. If there is a reason to check out SH3 airing on July 19th it’s the return of Lee Do Hyun and his … Continue reading →
So the end of The Double nicely dovetailed for me right into the start of The Princess Royal. It’s not the same vibes or addictiveness though, TPR is slower and less makjang in that thrilling way TD delivered beat after beat of getting a satisfying revenge payoff, but instead lets a second chance marriage and romance develop in lovely beats. … Continue reading →
When K-actress Shin Se Kyung changed agency for the first time, it was three years ago when she left Namoo Actors for EDAM and that was a huge deal since she was with Namoo Actors for 19 years thanks to her child star entree into the industry. This week it was announced that she’s parted ways with EDAM and will … Continue reading →
I’m a nostalgist and also have developed patience with age, the year long wait between Lost You Forever Part 1 and now the coming Part 2 was frustrating when it happened but now feels like a shrug of no big deal. The drama is returning next week and Tencent released the first batch of official lead stills showing Yang Zi, … Continue reading →

This goes to show how one action can snowball and lead to many additional consequences. Last week Wang Xing Yue‘s production office released a video showing his character Xiao Heng dying in the final battle in the drama The Double. The stated intent was to showcase his character and acting, the behind-the-scenes intent was to harsh the buzz of CP … Continue reading →
So I probably will end up skipping Follow Your Heart, and initially it was due to logistics and now due to feedback. I was super addicted to The Double and only had bandwidth for that drama and was planning on watching Follow Your Heart after, but then when The Double ended I heard that Follow Your Heart wasn’t really interesting. … Continue reading →
I’ve been tapped out of the adaptations of famous Louis Cha (Jin Yong) wuxia novels for beyond the last decade. The last ones I watched were the Hu Ge and Ariel Lin led Legend of the Condor Heroes and the Huang Xiaoming and Crystal Liu version of Return of the Condor Heroes. I grew up on the TVB 80’s versions … Continue reading →
Many K-stars popular in Japan had new K-dramas this year in the first half of 2024 so let’s see what was most popular with the viewers there. Queen of Tears with Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won took the top spot, not surprising, while Marry My Husband with Park Min Young was second. Then came Dr. Slump with Park … Continue reading →
Well this is a snitty little brouhaha but ultimately nothing that wasn’t already bandied about. The sad ending of The Double was long rumored and … Continue reading →
