MBC started off the year end awards show circuit first among the three big networks but being fast doesn’t necessarily mean it got its act together. This network had the shakiest offerings all year in both ratings and quality and in hindsight it had only two dramas worth remembering in Two Weeks and Scandal: That Very Shocking and Immoral Incident. … Continue reading →
While MBC is preempting both episodes of Empress Ki and SBS is doing the same for Warm Words, KBS is the sole network airing a new episode of its Mon-Tues drama Prime Minister and I. But only one episode 7 will air tonight and thus the broadcast schedule will be disrupted. KBS has decided to add one more episode to … Continue reading →
I’m dying for 2014 to arrive so I can put 2013 behind me and I think there are others who feel the same way. Nor sure of my sweet Yoon Eun Hye shares the same sentiment but she’s definitely had a rough month of December and will surely be happy for a fresh new month to arrive come January. Her … Continue reading →
The downside is that this week has no new episodes of Empress Ki as both days are preempted for year end shows on MBC while tn the upside is that the leads will be attending the MBC Drama Awards which means nice network recognition acting awards are forthcoming. An added bonus is we get to see the leads Ha Ji … Continue reading →
Yoon Si Yoon has had a busy year starting off with a drama in January with Flower Boy Next Door then a stint on the odd variety show Barefoot Friends and now ending the year with Prime Minister and I. I love this boy so I’m not complaining about him producing more work for me to enjoy, but I can’t … Continue reading →
Taiwan GQ Magazine unveiled its annual Men of the Year list last week which includes notable famous male personages from across various industries and professions. This year Vic Zhou made the list and he attended the award’s ceremony last week and I’m here to share his photo spread from the December issue of GQ Magazine. Zai Zai was the only … Continue reading →
My adorable babies Lego Lee and Kirsten Jen are gracing the cover and main spread for January 2014’s issue of Spop Magazine (published by SETTV‘s drama production division) and the first teasers are out and they look soooooo cute I’m getting cavities. The photo spread is modeled after a throwback concept but not necessarily to the 90’s but will features … Continue reading →
I’m always the one watching a drama and talking about it, so I thought it fun to turn the tables on y’all with a drama that is currently the hot topic du jour and quite the hotbed of heated debate. I still haven’t watched Answer Me 1994, not even a scene or snippet, but its impossible not to overhear some … Continue reading →
I actually don’t care enough about the original Heirs to have a feeling either way about this other than rubbernecking curiosity but it certainly isn’t a surprise to hear that China is gearing up for a Heirs remake after buying the rights from SBS after the popular drama wrapped. The C-drama version will also be called Heirs (继承者们) but without … Continue reading →
It’s a rare treat to take a peek behind the curtains into a Korean entertainers family life, and even rarer that its coming from a huge A-lister like Ha Ji Won. In the December issue of The Celebrity magazine, Ha Ji Won coordinated a photoshoot with her entire family which took place at their home. The concept was “a warm … Continue reading →
I almost didn’t know what to think about episode 7 of In A Good Way until the very end when I let out a huge sigh of relief. This episode was a roller coaster of emotions for me ranging from anticipation to shock to dismay to confusion and finally to a squeal of delight. Jia En grows up even more … Continue reading →
I think there is only one episode of Prime Minister and I next week, and in fact most of the K-dramas might have one or even both episodes preempt due to year end award shows and the like. I’m cool with that since I’m also on vacation and all, but I’m going to be hella anxious if episode 7 ends … Continue reading →
I wonder how similar Liu Chuan’s life on campus is to Lego Lee‘s own college life? He is a graduate from National Taiwan Sport University so athletics is in his genes and he must be thanking his lucky stars because having to do push ups while Kirsten Jen sits on his back is no small feat. The adorable picture above … Continue reading →
