It’s only been a little over two months since Playful Kiss concluded with its full sixteen-episode television plus seven-episode Youtube special run. It’s hard to fangirl HyunMin if neither of them ever do anything together since wrapping filming, nor do they drop loaded hints in the most obvious of places. *pouts* Truth be told, Kim Hyun Joong has been exceedingly … Continue reading →
Jang Geun Seok held his Seoul fan meeting last night, performing all his recorded songs from the Mary Stayed Out Night OST, and shared some news about his career in 2011. Other than releasing his first solo album in March, he will be holding a series of concerts in Asia (Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Shanghai) thereafter, and will commence … Continue reading →
After wrapping Mary Stayed Out All Night, Kim Jae Wook has jumped right back into his other day job – as frontman for the indie rock band Walrus. Seriously, his casting as Jung In as opposed to Mu Gyul must’ve amused him to no end, since he’s the real life talking walking version of Mu Gyul. I approve of the … Continue reading →
Sometimes you find the most random nuggets of Geun-Geun goodness in the weirdest of places. I never thought to check out the BTS footage of the prayer ceremony for Mary Stayed Out All Night. When I did, voila! – instant GG tidbit so full of wink-wink it must be shared.
Continue reading →After creating a magical Geun-Geun in Summer’s Desire photo collection, zitalei has made an MV of her lovely photo montage. A what-if scenario of Jang Geun Seok, Moon Geun Young, and Lee Min Ho caught in a love triangle. I eat up its mawkish story with a spoon the moment I can pretend the Geuns are in it.
Continue reading →I’ve got some spoilers for the upcoming episode of Dream High. Rather like my spoilers during the Playful Kiss days, the veracity is yet to be determined, but the source and the content appears quite credible. I’ll save ALL the goodies until after the jump. Dive in with me if you are dying for the next fix for your DH … Continue reading →
The commercial is out for Jang Geun Seok’s Zegda CF. It’s a Mainland Chinese brand, and the CF is airing only in China. Jang Gen Seok is totally channeling a Mu Gyul-Goes-To-College vibe, going sporty and youthful with his attire and the CF theme. He’s really quite busy with endorsements these days. Coupled with the upcoming release of his solo … Continue reading →
My Princess hit the mid-way point of its run today. With the ratings holding pretty steady at between 15-17% for the last two weeks, this drama looks to be a solid hit. I think the numbers are about right. The stellar OTP moments in MP make me think it deserves higher ratings, but the dull and plodding royal restoration plot … Continue reading →
I know, I know, I’m supposed to be writing a recap or something along those lines. But I can’t help it if I’ve been mesmerized by the collective awesome that is SMAP + DBSK. It’s about 15 years too late for me to fangirl SMAP’s actual singing or boyband performing, and I’m about a year too late to get on … Continue reading →
It looks like Moon Geun Young did multiple photoshoot concepts for Basic House. The official release had her looking very preppy, but these for the catalogue are channeling a very feminine, SoHo shopper, girl-in-the-city vibe. She really is a chameleon in everything she does, creating whatever image and persona is required of her. I stared at these pictures for a good … Continue reading →
Jang Geun Seok’s new Samsung Galaxy commercial is out! It’s totally adorable, and it has not only Jang Geun Seok, but two of his band mates from Mary Stayed Out All Night in it as well. I wiped away a tear or two seeing Mu Gyul and his buddies performing and being all adorable. All that is missing is…..Merry … Continue reading →
My Princess has the most inconsistent effect on me. When I’m watching the drama, sometimes I’m totally into it, other times I’m zoning out for no good reason. During the lull between episodes, occasionally I’m dying to know what happens next, other times I’m happily going about my business with contentment borne from knowing that what will happen will happen … Continue reading →
I would write more, but I’m a little incoherent right now. I think My Princess continues to balance the cute light-hearted beats while steadily moving towards serious territory. Well, as serious as a fantasy tale of a long-lost princess can get. The characters and their behavior continue to remain consistent yet evolving. As a rom-com, MP is hitting all the right … Continue reading →
