Not everyone has watched episode 12 of Mary Stayed Out All Night, which didn’t show a preview at the end of the episode and instead showed NG scenes from the entire drama thus far. It’s adorable and funny, and can be watched regardless of whether you’ve caught up with the drama. I’m not going to translate since the actors are … Continue reading →
MBC is gearing up for the premiere of My Princess in three weeks. In addition to the gorgeous stills just released today of Song Seung Heon and Kim Tae Hee’s romantic date in the drifting snow, the first teaser trailer has dropped. Please hold on to your trousers, it’s but a glimpse and nothing more, though it does reveal what … Continue reading →
[Random Announcement: Lots of folks are asking about acronyms I use, please refer to the Glossary page tabbed above for the complete list, which I update regularly.] I think I’m going to drop Secret Garden. I don’t mean drop it as in never watch it again. But I find myself nitpicking more than enjoying, even when there is so very … Continue reading →
Excuse me for a moment. My belly really hurts. No, I didn’t eat anything bad. On the contrary, I ate something so good it made my belly ache from the laughter and the worry. For the first time in 12 episodes of Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!), everything clicked and all my right emotional buttons were pushed. … Continue reading →
Are you guys happy again? I’m over fifty-percent happy, which is a glass half full scenario. All things considering, this is a damn good place to be. Because so many dramas have failed me in the second half this year alone, the fact that episode 11 of Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!) was one of its best, … Continue reading →
After I posted the written preview for episode 10 of Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!), the onslaught of shrill screams from M3-fans made it feel like an impending drama-pocalypse. I don’t think anyone signed up for M3 expecting a Noh Hee Kyung slice-of-life drama with Kim Soo Hyun dialogue wrapped in Jung Ha Yeon level abs-of-steel plot … Continue reading →
Today’s recap will be later than usual, because I am going to be combining episode 10-11 of Mary Stayed Out All Night into one recap. It makes narrative sense, since it’s really one very long episode anyways. I can safely say that the writer change was 100% a win. Episode 10 was terrible (aside from the Mae Ri and Mu … Continue reading →
KBS released official stills from episode 10 of Mary Stayed Out All Night, and these are way too adorbs and heartwarming not to share. Does anyone out there care if every single character in M3, other than Mae Ri and Mu Gyul, got swallowed up by a giant sink hole in Seoul, and we spend the rest of the 7 … Continue reading →
[Edit: Latest M3 news – we’ll be hearing a new Mu Gyul song called “Hello Hello” in this week’s episodes, the cast was filming episode 12 at a coffee shop at 3 a.m. on December 12th, and the spectators caught a glimpse of the new script] The interminable wait is almost over. Nothing in the preview or spoiler for episode … Continue reading →
Athena: Goddess of War will be premiering in about T-minus twelve hours. Yes, fifteen years and countless movies later, Jung Woo Sung returns to the K-drama screen in what is likely the most expensive drama ever produced. I have low expectations that the story will be stellar, but I have high expectations that I will love it regardless. In honor of … Continue reading →
Timing really is everything. Even though Secret Garden and Mary Stayed Out All Night premiered the same week, in different and non-competing time slots, one arrived a few days before the other. Rather like calling dibs on my attention span, M3 parked itself in my conscious, occupying the space just vacated by Playful Kiss, and Secret Garden become the also-ran … Continue reading →
I remembered that Moon Geun Young has always been a good dancer (on par with Park Shin Hye, for an actress, that is). Which is why her kale bouquet worm wiggle dance in episode 8 of Mary Stayed Out All Night was that much more amusing. Presenting, side-by-side, video confirmation that the female Geun can bring it on the dance … Continue reading →
This is the second MV off the Athena OST, and it’s also called I Love You (the first being Park Hyo Shin‘s song with the same name that was released back in August). They really are going to pound this into the ground, aren’t they? I relented and watched this MV, but have been avoiding all the extended trailers for … Continue reading →
