There’s been a change in leading lady and once again newbie Kim Yo Han as the male lead is getting a true acting heavyweight as his costar. K-actress Kim Sae Ron is in talks to join KBS drama School 2020 as the female lead, the role initially was with another grown up child actress Ahn Seo Hyun but it appears … Continue reading →
I find Kim Kyung Nam a fantastic actor who always delivers and that seems to be the widespread feedback from other drama viewers. He’s just charismatic and his presence in upcoming SBS K-drama The King: Eternal Monarch really ups the ante. His first character stills are out and shows his police officer character tackling a suspect and he’s seems the … Continue reading →
I hate rumor-mongering but this really needs to be quickly cleared up. Chinese-language newspapers a day ago starting reporting that K-actor Kim Woo Bin was confirmed infected by COVID-19 the novel coronavirus spreading around the world and shutting down schools, work, restaurants, and even entertainment. South Korea a few weeks ago was the second highest infected count but has dropped … Continue reading →
Forget returning to K-ent, this douchebag criminal isn’t leaving prison for many many years. Former FT Island member idol Choi Jung Hoon admitted this week to illegally filming women in sexual situations and distributing the footage, i.e. sharing it with his fellow sleazebags in the online chat groups. He’s already been convicted and sentenced to 5 years for aggravated rape … Continue reading →
This is such a shocking news and honestly so worrying in these times. Character K-actor Moon Ji Yoon, who I recognize on sight if not by name, has passed away at the age of 36. His agency released the information explaining that he passed from acute sepsis brought on after complaining of a sore throat. Clearly it was an infection … Continue reading →
I love the title of this drama and hopefully it’ll also deliver what it’s title aims to do. KBS late spring drama Soul Repairer has released the first look with leads Shin Ha Kyun and Jung So Min. It’s a drama by the PD of Brain (hence the reunion with Shin Ha Kyun) and My Daughter Seo Young with the … Continue reading →
I feel like it’s Heirs part deux, but this time male lead Lee Min Ho isn’t with Kim Woo Bin and instead getting another Bin similar male lead with Woo Do Hwan. Being second fiddle isn’t bad in the rare K-drama role, like Kim Woo Bin in Heirs and most recently Kim Jung Hyun in Crash Landing on You, so … Continue reading →
Dining together is a big part of many cultures South Korea included and watching K-dramas so many connections and scenes are set at meal times. The upcoming drama Shall We Have Dinner Together with Song Seung Heon and Seo Ji Hye takes two strangers and one random seating at the same table and builds a destined romance from the encounter. … Continue reading →
One of the reasons I’m so stoked for the upcoming SBS fantasy romance The King: Eternal Monarch is to hopefully see the redemption of Kim Go Eun. I LOVED Goblin but I really didn’t like character, and it was the sheer overwhelming love for the other three leads that helped overcome her naive wide-eyed blankness as a personality. She played … Continue reading →
I think the press conferences in South Korea remain held without reporters present and questions are done remotely but at least none have been cancelled. Next week is the premiere of tvN romance drama A Piece of Your Mind starring Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin and I’m loving that soft mint green backdrop at the press conference this week. … Continue reading →
Another Park is joining Itaewon Class and it’s a very high profile special appearance. Park Bo Gum will be making a cameo guest role in the final episode of jTBC drama Itaewon Class which airs this Saturday on March 21st. Park Bo Gum and male lead Park Seo Joon are two of the top young actors of the same generation … Continue reading →
It would have been great to get the main cast back, well at least those who aren’t gone or cancelled. K-movie Pirates 2 was the long planned sequel to the box office hit Pirates starring Son Ye Jin, Kim Nam Gil, and Yoo Hae Jin. Initially the leads were planned to return for the sequel but after many years the … Continue reading →
A new week is here but it feels more momentous than just a new week if you live in the US and sudden everything seems Defcon-1 in the span of a few weeks. Calm down, folks, long term all will be well so if you’re laying low just enjoy the goodies that is the build up to the April premiere … Continue reading →
