I’ve been charmed by Taecyeon ever since the big lunkhead barreled into the scene in Dream High and was as endearing a choice as the eventual male lead in that drama Kim Soo Hyun. His acting was sooooo stiff back then but he had so much earnest heart that reached through the screen, and since then he’s improved consistently as … Continue reading →
I serious have FOMO whenever I see Jeon Ji Hyun at an event. I rarely want to see a star in person, a long time blogging quirk that sets in when fangirling becomes a staple like sleeping, showering, and eating. But K-actress Jeon Ji Hyun still evokes the wonder in me, I am legit impressed with how she’s managed a … Continue reading →
Talk about a smart casting choice from two different angles. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are reportedly in talks to reunite for the next K-drama penned by the screenwriter Park Ji Eun of You From Another Star, Producers, and Legend of the Blue Sea. Binnie and Son Ye Jin are both seasoned big name stars so their casting is … Continue reading →
The other shoe has dropped for singer Roy Kim, who has been noticeably absent and laying low in all the recent scandals with Seungri, Jung Joon Young, and many other same generation male singers. The reason K-netz think he may also be involved is because he’s very good friends with Jung Joon Young in real life and it turns out … Continue reading →
There’s a change to the airing schedule which doesn’t surprise me because it was getting way too close for there not to be a concerted effort to promote such a big budget high profile K-drama. SBS is delaying the airing of pre-produced action drama Vagabond from the schedule May 2019 premiere date to later in September of the same year. … Continue reading →
This has all the hallmarks of a good drama, being on cable with a serious political turn in this day and age where politics seem more than ever to play a role in daily lives. jTBC kicked off script reading for Aide starring Lee Jung Jae, Shin Mina, Kim Dong Joon, and Elliya Lee. Lee Jung Jae plays a top … Continue reading →
The casting winds are blowing quickly around K-drama Perfume. Last weekend Eric turned it out but this week the drama found a great next choice with Shin Sung Rok, who has confirmed and will be leading man in a romance drama so yay finally! He’s so versatile and a chameleon, even in one role able to essay so many nuanced … Continue reading →
The first poster is out for fantasy K-drama Abyss, doing a physical transformation swap concept where the leads turn into the exact opposite forms of their prior selves. The poster creatively juxtaposes the transformation by putting Park Bo Young and Ahn Hyo Seob against the chalk outlines of their former selves. She’s shrunk in height and curves from statuesque beauty, … Continue reading →
If there was anyone who reacted decisively and took on full responsibility the quickest in the Seungri and Jung Joon Young scandals, it would be former BEAST/Highlight member Yong Jun Hyung. He admitted being a part of the hidden camera sex video sharing and has quit his idol group. Early in when the group chat first leaked on the media … Continue reading →
It’s hard for fans to not fangirl over a celebrity in person and it’s true even when the event has people who work in the entertainment industry. This weekend at the wedding of entertainer-actor Kwang Soo‘s long time manager, the actor and his good friend Song Joong Ki were in attendance and understandably mobbed by the ladies. The two pictures … Continue reading →
Couture brand sponsored events have been fuglyville in recent weeks so it’s a nice visual treat to see one nice looking outfit make an entrance. Idol-actress Yoona attended the star-studded Chanel event in Seoul launching the Chanel collaboration with rapper Pharrell as well as the opening of a new flagship space in the city. Lots of K-stars were in attendance … Continue reading →
I’m a little surprised to hear that singer-actress IU has never been on the big screen before. She’s been in the industry for nearly ten years and I totally thought she would have done a movie by now, if not as the lead then as a supporting role like she did working her way up in dramas. Turns out she’s … Continue reading →
I wonder how stars feel about going to brand sponsored and promoted events? Is it as dull as us normal folks going to work and logging on for a day of typing away at a desk job? Getting dolled up for us is an occasion but for them sometimes its a job and K-actress Gong Hyo Jin certainly looks like … Continue reading →
