Looks like CJ Entertainment has its eyes on drama land after conquering the big screen with hit movies in the last few years. CJ’s wholly owned production house Studio Dragon has acquired the indie drama producer G Est, which has under it’s contract screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung, PD Kim Kyu Tae, and PD Hong Jong Chan. Noh Hee Kyung has … Continue reading →
Today’s friendship goals and positive news coming out of K-ent is courtesy of cutie patootie actor Park Bo Gum. Apparently he’s living the real life version of Her Private Life sorta, being good friends with V of top idol group BTS and attending their concert like a seasoned fanboy. Park Bo Gum was spotted at a BTS concert last week … Continue reading →
The floral themed April 2019 edition of US Vogue Magazine is making international waves by featuring 14 female stars from around the world, or more accurately 13 international ladies and one US top actress Scarlett Johansson, Scarlett’s cover is shared with Deepika Padukone and one of South Korea’s most versatile movie actresses Bae Doo Na (or Doona Bae as she’s … Continue reading →
At this point in K-ent, stars should hope to not be in the news and just lay low because who knows how wide the net of Seungri‘s prostitution and tax evasion scandal will spread. There’s a new unwitting star caught up in it this weekend, actor Ji Chang Wook who is currently finishing up his military service made the news … Continue reading →
I have a day job and blogging about K-dramas is a pure hobby so I’ll confess to totally feeling sympatico with female lead Park Min Young in tvN drama Her Private Life. She’s a no nonsense capable art museum curator by day and doggedly devoted idol fangirl by night/weekend, basically her private time is all about her idol fixation and … Continue reading →
When Kim Hee Ae did December-May romance K-drama Secret Love Affair with Yoo Ah In a few years ago she was in her late 40s and the pairing was quite controversial until the drama aired and everyone loved the nuance and maturity of the story. She’s since turned 50 and honestly looks still as beautiful and classy as ever, just … Continue reading →
A sweet and optimistic K-drama sounds like a nice escapist getaway for viewers currently bombarded with terrible real life news in South Korea. Leading lady Shin Hye Sun is following up a heartwarming drama in Thirty But Seventeen with another equally heartwarming sounding one Dan, Only Love. She plays a cold ballerina who doesn’t believe in love who is the … Continue reading →
What a funny poster for tvN rom-com Her Private Life. I love the calm blue-hued background but am chuckling at the misdirected fangirling by lead Park Min Young. She’s got her camera trained at some far off idol boy with male lead Kim Jae Wook standing next to her vogueing as naturally as the air he breaths. She needs to … Continue reading →
One of the first events where C-media and netizens first thought that C-actress Liu Shi Shi may be pregnant was last October at the Omega watch event in Shanghai. Omega gathered Shi Shi and three other top stars endorsing the brand Cindy Crawford, Nicole Kidman, and Alessandra Ambrosia together and the dress code was red va-va-va-vroom gown. Shi Shi was … Continue reading →
The pandemic of hidden camera recordings in South Korea hit another fever pitch this week outside of the current scandal with Korean entertainers doing hidden camera recordings personally. Two men have been arrested and charged with planting hidden cameras in over 30 motel rooms and live streaming over 1600 motel guests over the course of the past three months having … Continue reading →
The trio of priest, cop, and taxi-driving shaman is reuniting for the big screen and I have mixed feelings about it. OCN horror drama The Guest was a riveting watch for me last year and one of my favorites from 2018, and it ended with a cliffhanger on one hand with the big bad and a sorta happy ending for … Continue reading →
K-actress Park Shin Hye continues her one step forward two steps back fashion yo-yo in real life and this week she modeled a new look for a store opening event of clothing brand Mojo.S.Phine. She was wearing a white double-breasted jacket dress with matching wide cinch waist belt and she honestly looked like either a minimalist flight attendant or a … Continue reading →
Every alleged defendant in any common or civil law abiding country has the right to a competent defense and to argue one’s innocence. But that doesn’t need I don’t think a clearly guilty defendant isn’t the height of douchebaggery to elect that course of action, costing tax payers money in a trial and more importantly inflicting pain on the victims … Continue reading →
