This drama filmed recently so I don’t expect to see it on the small screen until 2025 but the production is very fast and generous with sharing new promos. Fated Hearts with Li Qin and Chen Zhe Yuan released new stills this week and for some reason it gives me vampire story Twilight crossed with wuxa vibes. Li Qin pulls … Continue reading →
Long siiiiiiiiigh, how is this even worth fighting over. Period C-drama Flower in Novoland is about to start filming in early November and has unofficially confirmed leads Zhang Jing Yi and Chen Zhe Yuan. This week his fandom started grumbling about billing order saying he should be top billed. Her fandom responded back that she’s a way bigger star with … Continue reading →
Oooooh, me likes! I was not expecting to be all that interested in upcoming period C-drama Fated Hearts (Chinese title 一笑随歌 Yi Xiao Sui Ge or One Smile Accompanying Song). I have a soft spot for drama titles that are punny based on the names of the two leads (like in Sword and Fairy 祈今朝), and here it’s Li Qin … Continue reading →
So a new drama is off casting and this one appears to be happening. Industry insiders are saying that Zhang Jing Yi and Chen Zhe Yuan will be pairing up for the romance period C-drama Flower in Novoland (Chinese title Xie Luo 缬罗),. In the earlier days the male lead may have been Song Wei Long but now it’s moved … Continue reading →
I would say Q1 2024 was not the best for C-actor Chen Zhe Yuan getting all that negative online chatter over his maybe casting and later not casting in C-drama Love on the Turquoise Land with Dilraba Dilmurat due to billing position issues. But like all things it died down and his fans went back to waiting for his finished … Continue reading →
So there is a name change for the currently filming period C-drama starring Li Qin and Chen Zhe Yuan. It was originally called Wan Xin Ji 綰心記 but now has the new title Yi Xiao Sui Ge 一笑随歌 which means One Smile Accompanying Song, and it’s a combination of the two lead characters names. The female lead is named Yi … Continue reading →
Casting has been completed just in time for the kick off of filming for C-drama Wan Xin Ji (绾心记) starring Li Qin and Chen Zhe Yuan. The supporting leads are quite young and in the up-and-coming category with Xiao Meng and Chen He Yi. Not much to say about this yet, glad all the Chen Zhe Yuan casting and billing … Continue reading →
There is movement with the female lead of C-drama Wan Xin Ji (绾心计) and it’s now been sorted out just in time for filming to begin next month in June. The drama female lead will be Li Qin rather than Wang Chu Ran, which makes sense as Li Qin has delivered many a hit and is currently in the biggest … Continue reading →
This is a new rumored pairing for an upcoming period C-drama and it’s two stars I’ve not thought of working together before. The C-drama Wan Xin Ji (绾心记) from the director of The Long Ballad is about to start production and reportedly the leads will be Chen Zhe Yuan and Wang Chu Ran. It’s a period drama so not xianxia … Continue reading →
So this is a very specific rumor rather than the usual “airing soon” type scheduling chatter so I thought it worth sharing. C-ent insiders are saying the production of C-drama Winner Is King (Feng Huo Liu Jing 烽火流金) based on the novel Sha Po Lang by famous BL novel writer Priest is going to arrive soon. It will reportedly air … Continue reading →
Oh this is a bit of a bummer development, but not surprising since production companies are always trying to get the bigger names if possible. Period C-drama The Brocaded Tale of the Girl Si based on the same name novel was initially in talks with Alen Feng as the male lead but now has moved to discussions with Chen Zhe … Continue reading →
So this whole situation makes me appreciate how professional and positive Dilraba Dilmurat is, I don’t find her a really good actress but she’s got a reputation for being a beloved star in C-ent for a reason. Her currently filming C-drama Love on the Turquoise Land was supposed to star Chen Zhe Yuan and it was a done deal. Then … Continue reading →
Well this is what happens when a person in the boat rocks it so hard it flips. Filming was supposed to start next week in early March 2024 for the C-drama Love on the Turquoise Land with Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Zhe Yuan and now the filming is delayed and the male lead may be different. This months fandom fighting … Continue reading →
