Poseidon will be premiering this coming Monday on KBS, so those of you who have longed dreamed of a marine police drama, your wish is about to come true! All kidding aside, the trailers are not bad at all, and the cast chemistry is pretty solid judging from all the behind-the-scenes goofing around. The cast attending the press conference this … Continue reading →
Hhhmm, not bad, not bad at all. The first trailer for Poseidon has dropped, and it’s piqued my interest somewhat. The action looks sharp and the actors look great together. While I don’t think this drama is going for major angst the way IRIS did (and Athena tried), it’s nice to see that it’s a serious procedural, though likely with … Continue reading →
Truth be told, while I was more interested in Poseidon in its first incarnation (with Eric and Kim Kang Woo) than in its resurrected incarnation (with Choi Siwon, Lee Sung Jae, and Lee Shi Young), neither version really captures my interest completely. I think Poseidon, premiering in two weeks on Mon-Tues on KBS, will actually be in a pretty ideal … Continue reading →
With less than one month to go before its premiere, the upcoming K-drama Poseidon held its script reading yesterday and immediately commenced filming. This means one beleaguered production is back on track, which leaves only What’s Up and The Musical still waiting for an airdate. With the original cast all gone (Eric, Kim Kang Woo, Kim Ok Bin, Yunho), the new … Continue reading →
And it’s a wrap. The upcoming TW-drama Skip Beat (an adaptation of the popular Japanese manga of the same name) wrapped principal filming this week for all cast members. Donghae, who plays Sho, completed his scenes earlier this month, but flew back to Taiwan this week for poster shoots with the rest of the cast, and to join in the … Continue reading →
L.O.V.E. Just love. The first teaser trailer for the upcoming TW-drama adaptation of the popular Japanese manga Skip Beat has finally been released. The drama’s Chinese title is called 華麗的挑戰 (English literal translation being Extravagant Challenge) but it’s English title has been confirmed to mirror the manga and be called Skip Beat. The drama stars Ivy Chen (stepping in for … Continue reading →
Taiwan is the place to be right now, IMO, with four different idol dramas concurrently filming that I’m really looking forward to. One of them being Extravagant Challenge with Super Junior’s Lee Donghae and Choi Siwon paired with Ivy Chen in the drama-adaptation of the popular manga Skip Beat. Ivy was photographed wearing a chicken suit yesterday on the set with … Continue reading →
GTV announced yesterday that shooting will commence on March 31, 2011 for Extravagant Challange, its long-delayed drama adaptation of the manga Skip Beat. The two male leads Choi Si Won and Lee Dong Hae of the K-pop group Super Junior will be arriving in Taiwan next week, and is expected to live there for four months during the shooting for … Continue reading →
When a project gets lodged in development hell, months and years go by without any updates. If by the grace of drama gods it gets resurrected, suddenly the flood gates burst and everything shifts into power gear. The TW-drama adaptation of the popular manga Skip Beat, which has been languishing for 2 years (and multiple lead actor changes), has finally gotten … Continue reading →
I’m currently binging on a Taiwan drama (will post about it in a bit), so thought I might bring some news about upcoming 2011 TW-dramas in the works. First up, Park Shin Hye just wrapped principal filming on Hayate the Combat Butler, co-starring George Hu, and the drama is slated for broadcast on GTV in the Spring. After four months in … Continue reading →
