Is it just me or is MBC Wed-Thurs drama W: Two Worlds gone spectacularly cuckoo in the last few episodes. With three more episodes left until it wraps up, what started off as an exhilarating fresh narrative ride has turned into bizarre nonsense even by fantasy element standards. It’s such a shame as Lee Jong Seok is doing so well in … Continue reading →
My fave currently airing K-drama is now W: Two Worlds after four exhilarating episodes, and it’s not because of all that kissing and skinship so far even if it’s much appreciated. The flirting is also fantastic, with the meta of real world Yeon Joo being a super fan of manhwa world male lead Kang Chul. The drama has come from … Continue reading →
This week’s episode 5 of the surprisingly fantastic tvN ghostly drama Let’s Fight Ghost was about domestic child abuse. It totally made me cry since a mom’s biggest fear is any injury to her child, and in serendipitous timing of things comes news that K-actor Lee Jong Seok is partnering with popular Korean fashion designer Ja In Song for a … Continue reading →
The ratings have shaken out for the current Wed-Thurs prime time drama slate and it’s a continuing win for KBS and Uncontrollably Fond. The first episode premiere of W: Two Worlds settled into a comfortable middle spot – UF took the lead with its episode 5 garnering an increase to 12.9% AGB nationwide and 14% AGB Seoul, while W’s first … Continue reading →
Tonight is the first episode airing of W: Two Worlds on MBC, the highly anticipated sci-fi/fantasy action and romance drama with Lee Jong Seok and Han Hyo Joo. The two leads were adorable at the press conference, evidencing cute chemistry and giving off comfortable vibes with each other. They are the universe-crossed lovers within the story, with Han Hyo Joo’s … Continue reading →
Crossed paths or fated destiny is the name of the romantic entanglement in W: Two Worlds. But I have a feeling there is a whole lot more at stake in this drama than whether the OTP will end up together, and that’s always the recipe for a great romance grounded story because it’s the other pressing stuff that give the … Continue reading →
It’s T-minus countdown time as upcoming MBC Wed drama W: Two Worlds premieres in a little over a week on July 20th. So far I’m still waiting for full on crazy rabid drama love, with neither of the recent two anticipated dramas for me in Doctors or Uncontrollably Fond being love at first sight. I’m still watching both but am … Continue reading →
The drama posters are out for mind-bendy romance drama W: Two Worlds, or more aptly the W meaning two universes that separate the lead characters played by Han Hyo Joo and Lee Jong Seok. I love the posters, spare and elegant with a softened light versus dark motif. It’s not particularly creative but the impact in this case sells the … Continue reading →
It’s good to see the typical K-drama OTP meet-then-fight scene take on a slightly twisty bent in upcoming MBC drama W: Two Worlds, and in slightly twisty I mean reality bending and likely mind blowing. New stills showing Han Hyo Joo freaking out upon meeting Lee Jong Seok is fantastic, showing the energetic side of her character and also laying … Continue reading →
This may be my favorite K-drama promo series since the beautifully rendered Queen In Hyun’s Man concept teaser where the two leads were mannequins in adjoining windows who then come to life escape the confines of their glass boxes and meet outside. It shouldn’t be a surprise I love this latest drama teaser series for W: Two Worlds since it … Continue reading →
The combination of Lee Jong Seok and Han Hyo Joo in the promo posters for W: Two Worlds totally sells them as a couple for me. There is a bright warmth about them even with such uninteresting backgrounds, with Han Hyo Joo’s patented toothy beaming smile and Lee Jong Seok with his trademark grin. The light blue dress and slightly … Continue reading →
Alternate or parallel universes aren’t too impossible a barrier to leap over for destined lovebirds Han Hyo Joo and Lee Jong Seok in the upcoming MBC drama W: Two Worlds, which isn’t arriving for another month on July 20th but with so much promotion it feels imminent. The production team for this drama managed to bring time-traveling lovers in Queen In Hyun’s … Continue reading →
Sharpshooters aren’t my thing but Lee Jong Seok certainly is. His character in upcoming MBC drama W: Two Worlds has multiple talents and achievements and one of it is being an Olympic gold medal winning target shooter. The drama just released stills of Lee Jong Seok competing at the Olympics with a long barrel pistol and one eye covered. I … Continue reading →
