The Motel California will soon be open for business with confirmed leads which means filming is starting soon. The healing romance K-drama has confirmed Lee Se Young and Na In Woo which I earlier said fits that current IT trend of insanely tall dude and teeny tiny girl as seen on Lovely Runner. I am fine with this cast as … Continue reading →
Well this is certainly a casting for those who love super tall guy teeny tiny girl onscreen couples, case in point Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon in the currently airing Lovely Runner. Lee Se Young and Na In Woo are in talks for an upcoming MBC romance drama Motel California, and beyond the title and the potential leads … Continue reading →
It was the night for prestige sageuk drama My Dearest over at the MBC Year End Drama Awards. Male lead Namgoong Min won the Daesang for his performance in the drama, Best Couple with Ahn Eun Jin, which also took home Best Drama. The dramas that did okay for the year on the network all gave its leads various levels … Continue reading →
So yeah, Lee Se Young is a queen, if not one already then a queen in waiting because she is so underrated as one of the success stories of the child stars turns adult actors in K-ent. It probably happened because she’s right behind Moon Geun Young, same gen with Park Eun Bin, and then had the child star Kim … Continue reading →
This feels like a dumb thing to do and I’m glad there is an immediate apology and acceptance of the transgression. This weekend’s episode 6 of Story of Park’s Marriage Contract showed female lead Lee Se Young designing avante garde hanboks as part of the storyline. After airing, a hanbok designer called out the production for ripping off her designs … Continue reading →
K-drama fans are too cute as a recent fan fiction script concept has everyone suddenly wanting this K-drama made for realz. The idea is that Lee Se Young, Yoo Seung Ho, and Yeo Jin Gu are all child actors who grew up together and worked together various times. Lee Se Young says in an interview that Yoo Seung Ho is … Continue reading →
So those who watched the weirdo makjang time-travel drama Lady Durian will get the same whiplash feel for the set up of this upcoming MBC drama The Story of Widow Park’s Marriage Contract. The drama stars Lee Se Young as a Joseon newlywed wife whose husband Bae In Hyuk dies on their marriage night and she gets tossed in a … Continue reading →
Oh this looks so promising for me cuz I love both these cuties! Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk are confirmed for the sageuk romance time-travel Park’s Contract Marriage Story (The Story of Park’s Contract Marriage) with the drama slated for the second half of 2023. The drama is a time-travel story of Joseon’s most virtuous widow who is … Continue reading →
I’ve long since put Love by Law (The Law Cafe) in the rear view mirror and neither leads Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young have come out worse for wear with, I just chalk it up to wrong roles in a lackluster story. I’m ready for whatever each has in store for 2023 and Lee Se Young has just … Continue reading →
Fall is my favorite season and rom-coms my favorite genre so it has been such a sad disappointment the last two months to not have fall weather arrive yet and for the rom-com The Law Cafe (Love by Law). It starred two faves of mine Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young who both can act AND had shown great … Continue reading →
Watching The Law Cafe (Love by Law) elicits first the feeling of deja vu. Like, the sense that I’ve seen this or that before, or maybe all of this and that before in other prior K-dramas. The horrible corrupt lawyer dad leading the son to give up (Uncontrollably Fond), the cute cafe boys with different personalities (Coffee Prince), the shrieky … Continue reading →
I’m so thirsty for a K-drama rom-com right now that as uninspired as this poster looks I DO NOT CARE! Give me Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young going from high school bickering classmates to dueling lawyers with emotional issues and budding romantic interest. The first poster is out for KBS drama The Law Cafe (Love by Law) and … Continue reading →
This is a reunion I’ve wanted on the small screen but not a true reunion since the two leads didn’t play leads opposite each other in their previous drama together. I’m talking about Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young going from bickering and got each other’s back pals in Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey) to now playing opposite personality lawyers … Continue reading →
