The wholly underwhelming run of the K-drama remake Criminal Minds finished this week, freeing the talented cast to do bigger and better things, or at least snap back to life from their somnambulant state of being for the last 8 weeks. To know that K-dramas is planning to remake Suits next just has me sighing over the pointlessness of doing something in … Continue reading →
Things are not dire but is certainly disappointing as tvN‘s high profile and big name casted K-drama remake of Criminal Minds hasn’t really resonated with the local audience. Episode 1 did a promising and high for cable 4.187% AGB nationwide ratings but has then fallen to the 2% range with a few episodes going back up past 3% but nowhere … Continue reading →
I’m so used to K-dramas rushing schedules that the press conference to premiere gap has shrunk almost to a day before even so it’s a nice relief to take it slow and see the cast of Criminal Minds meeting the media a full week before their drama airs on July 26th. Starring Lee Jun Ki, Son Hyun Joo, Moon Chae … Continue reading →
The July heatwave is on and I’m looking for the intensity chill of upcoming K-drama Criminal Minds to deliver a refreshing dose of procedural kicks. Starring Lee Jun Ki, Son Hyun Joo, and Moon Chae Won, I love all three and am happy to see the collaboration on a drama that hopefully will mine the US version of the show … Continue reading →
It’s probably good that Lee Jun Ki picked the K-drama remake of Criminal Minds as his next drama after the high profile flop that was Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. It’s a modern day procedural and world’s away from sageuk where he’s done so many outings in period garb, not to mention all the shipping with his previous leading lady … Continue reading →
She might not be the live-action Bride of the Water God but she’s certain a goddess in her own right already. Moon Chae Won has fully grown out her hair after chopping it boy length short for Goodbye Mr. Black, her last drama and a woeful misfire in ratings and writing. She has three straight hit dramas before that with … Continue reading →
The time slot got changed but the K-drama remake of Criminal Minds is still barreling towards audiences with a July 2017 premiere date. The drama remains airing on tvN but the cable network has moved it from a weekend late night slot to a middle of the week late night slot, airing on Wed-Thurs at 11 pm. I get goosebumps … Continue reading →
Ooooooh this looks fantastic, or at least the lead cast does on first impression. Filming is underway for the K-drama remake of hit US procedural Criminal Minds, and if this is a hit expect more where that remake train is coming. The drama is scheduled to air on cable network tvN in July but is well underway with filming, which … Continue reading →
Actresses have to safe guard their reputations even more stringently than their actor counterparts, especially in more conservative South Korea where the ladies are held to a higher standard of personal conduct. Moon Chae Won and her agency have had enough of a K-netizen who for the past year has been posting online that he’s dating Moon Chae Won and … Continue reading →
I’m actually relieved that Lee Jun Ki isn’t doing a rom-com or romance based K-drama as his next project, let’s keep him out of fan shipping cross hairs for the time being. He’s confirmed for the upcoming Korean remake of hit US procedural show Criminal Minds, and so is his leading lady Moon Chae Won. I’ve never envisioned this onscreen … Continue reading →
I let out a small yelp of excitement and shock when this casting news first flickered across my screen, and had to rub my eyes to make sure it wasn’t my imagination. K-actress Moon Chae Won has been offered the leading lady role in the K-drama remake of US show Criminal Minds, which if she accepts will mean acting opposite … Continue reading →
There’s been movement in the casting rounds for the upcoming modernized drama version of manhwa Bride of the Water God. No, the male lead hasn’t been swapped out and remains Nam Joo Hyuk, whose casting is coming at a better time in his career after getting much love in the underrated Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. That doesn’t mean he’s … Continue reading →
It’s now looking like a one-two and three punch for the upcoming K-drama adaptation of manhwa Bride of the Water God, done with a twist of course. The adaptation announced last year that the screenwriter of Misaeng, and Arang and the Magistrate, was adapting the original source material. Later on came the addition of the PD of Nine: Nine Times … Continue reading →
