I like to think any drama that brings young crazy talented K-movie star Go Ah Sung back to drama land must be worth checking out. She’s had no shortage of drama offers in the five years since her last television appearance in God of Study but nothing has interested her to return until now with Heard it Through the Grapevine. It could be the script or the chance to work with famed PD Ahn Pan Seok, whatever her reason that just means the audience gets lucky with her gracing the screen, a reminder that K-ent isn’t all aspiring actresses with style over substance.
The second teaser is out for the drama and I’m impressed with the….ahem ardor between Go Ah Sung and her high school rich beau played by Lee Joon. There was already making out in bed in the first teaser, which I assume is where the baby was conceived that leads to the central drama story about Go Ah Sung’s poor plucky high school girl needing to marry into the chaebol family of her classmate baby daddy played by Lee Joon. Now in the second teaser she’s seen basically going into labor in bed with her hubby holding her, then he runs into the river to stop her suicide attempt, and lastly there is more hot kissing in the back of a taxi. I’m wondering if there will be a baby number 2 by the time this 32-episode drama is done. Heh.
Second teaser for Heard it Through the Grapevine:
I dislike the poor girl mistreated by chaebol family but it’s reality. At least they are actual making out unlike other older actresses and actors. ;~)
Looking forward to it!
At least this one feels like the hubby is fighting for his lady love. A lot of chaebol dramas have the guy being an ass as well. Double ugh!
I thought that was Ady An in the first picture.
Good gosh there be a lot of youth and passion already. And this in a drama? At least the fans don’t have to cry out for skinship. Bwuahaha.
On a more serious note, I remember the couple of teenage or young pregnancy dramas I fast fw and skipped through. This is not looking like a bed of roses.
I like it. I am going to check it out.
I feel like there would be a time jump ahead just because the baby is born early in the drama. At first i thought it would focus on the pregnancy and hidiƱg it from the family and maybe labour on the end of drama like Jennie Juno.
But with it being set up earlier there might be badblood with the chaebols in law and seperation until they reconcile back after they settled down in adulthood. Just like Ady’s An Autumn Concerto. This is just my opinion. I love a lot of drama and tears.
Nice setup. Probs gonna watch it if Lee Joon oppa gets a lot screen time hihi ^^
I thought the genre is black comedy
I can’t wait! I hope that there’s lots of these two, and that Lee Joon will stay by her side through all of this mistreatment. There’s nothing worse than a chaebol drama where the guy is equally an asshole to the girl.
I know what I will be watching once What’s Up With My Family ends.
