When I See You Again with Liu Yi Hao and Mandy Wei Release Cute Promo Teasers
Upcoming SETTV Sunday night drama When I See You Again shockingly looks better than even my lowest of low expectations anticipated. Thanks to casting charisma such Mandy Wei as the female lead, even having dimpled cutie Liu Yi Hao as the male lead couldn’t get my hopes up very high. Which is why I’m the first to ready a potential mea culpa for Mandy when the drama premieres this coming Sunday because I quite like her in the previews so far. Could the long hair weave for the role be credited for the magical transformation of Mandy into an intriguing female lead character onscreen? I’ll have to wait and see but at least my hopes have gone up a bit. I also love seeing Liu Yi Hao play against type as the suited corporate raider male lead, even if the flashback previews show him as a total hapless dork back in the school. Check out the drama previews below and get ready for a bit more energetic lighthearted fare compared to the just completed warm languid Someone Like You.

They look cute together, I am glad, Mandy hair is long in this one. I can’t stand her wig in Say Yes I Do. This look fluffy, one more drama to watch in summer.

It actually reminds me of some older SETTV dramas like My Lucky Star, Fated to Love You and The Prince Who Turns into a Frog. It’s coming from Pleasantly Surprised’ production team, the scriptwriters are also the one who penned FTLY and Pleasantly Surprised.
I’m still lowering my expectations so that my hope won’t be dashed, lol… I’ve been burnt by SETTV dramas too many times.

I’m keeping my expectations low too especially after knowing that it is the same production team behind Pleasantly Surprised which started out pretty good but got frustrating and draggy in the other half of the drama.
I like Mandy and Liu Yi Hao though so I’m still hoping for the best for them.
Speaking of Someone Like You, I’m sad it has ended. I think it is one of the better T-dramas in recent years. Going to miss not seeing Kingone and Rong Rong together every sunday.

Damn after that 12 minute long trailer I am totally on board for this drama. I hope it does not disappoint me, my hopes are now higher than they should be lol.
