Battling a disease is never easy and the patient must undergo the mental and physical challenge all along. If lucky family and friends will be alongside for support, but sometimes it’s hard to be alongside for the anxiety but not getting any updates. Hallyu star Kim Woo Bin has been undergoing treatment for nasopharyngeal cancer, one of the rarer types of cancer that affects the throat and neck region. It could be tied to genetics and exacerbated by smoking, but whatever the trigger it’s still never worth trying to ask why it happened versus trying to overcome the condition. Kim Woo Bin has been taking a hiatus from his entertainment career to undergo intensive radiation therapy, which is such a relief since in his last drama he played a star diagnosed with an uncurable brain tumor so thank god reel does not reflect real life. This weekend he posted a throwback pictures on his SNS account of toddler Kim Woo Bin pinching his own cheeks to make a funny face. If it means he’s going well enough to update his SNS then I’ll say a prayer for the positive news.
