Hyun Bin Holds First Fan Meeting in 6 Years for Taiwan Fans and Promotes Memories of Alhambra
I think four months may just be the sufficient amount of time to get over hard loving and then hard hating a live watched drama experience. The feelings are so strong that the ending leaves an exhausted void and requires some distance to see if the opinions have changed after the initial rush. Objectively I still think Memories of Alhambra is a frustrating watch with the bad outweighing the good but for Hyun Bin fans as well as casual drama viewers who don’t care to analyze much it’s an interesting drama to check out. Binnie was in Taiwan this weekend to hold his first fan meeting on the island in 6-years and also to promote Memories for its television airing there. He discussed the grueling filming, with the fighting scenes in Spain sometimes taking multiple days for just one shot. For his hard work alone I can’t ever write it off this drama so hopefully it’ll increase his fanbase in Taiwan after it airs.
Some people really need age to bring out their natural attractiveness. This is very true for Hyun Bin. He has always been cute but He has aged into a gorgeous man. He always looks so elegant now. MOA was an international hit so I am sure Taiwan will take to it as well. Casual drama viewers seemed to quite enjoy it. On related news, his new drama with Son Ye Jin is confirmed.
I don’t think MOA or Encounter were an international hit. It was panned by everyone except the fans of the leads but since all the leads have such major fan bases it gives the illusion of being a hit. The ratings were very mediocre considering the budget and star power of everyone involved including the writer and directors. Both dramas were pre-sold at high amounts because of the leads not because they were good dramas. Crowned Clown and 100 Days Prince were bigger successes than either of these two dramas both domestically and internationally. They can claim the title of international hit not MOA and Encounter.
Nope encounter and MOA not internationally hit, but still doing good internationally, and CC and 100 days my prince not bigger than them. You must be forget that D.O is exo member, and popularity of exo in Asia is a wall for any actors.
Then why have none of Suho’s dramas ever done well anywhere? Suho is the leader of EXO but hardly any of the fans watch his dramas or support his acting. Why everyone wants to put down popularity of 100 days? @Jane is completely right about it hitting big everywhere.

Suho? gosh, this guy CANNOT act! That drama RICH MAN should be burnt. Drama watchers are smarter than just to follow EXO popularity. D.O. can act but Suho cannot.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have officially confirmed their new drama together! I’m just waiting for the follow up marriage news after the drama ends next year! He doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to picking a good script but he somehow always seems to make the characters work for him. Let marriage watch begin!
The casting is already an upgrade from his last drama. I’ve never seen HB comeback so quickly after a drama. How badly does he want to erase his last drama? More overseas shots for him after Spain now US. Their marriage announcement will be biggest thing since Songx2. Thankfully both SHK and HB have found good , reliable partners.
His last drama seriously does not need any female lead. Better to erase and leave good memories of his excellent acting only ?
Don’t lie! We all know the real OTP was Binnie and his secy! 😉
Time to move on from that awful drama. He needs to do more romcoms with actresses closer to his age. I’m already rooting for both of them onscreen and offscreen. ?
