Youngsters Kim So Hye of I.O.I. and Lee Sin Young of Crash Landing on You to Headline High School Romance Drama Friend Contract
K-drama casting agents are like sharks pouncing quickly on breakout rookies and a new face just got a leading man role even before his drama has finished airing. Lee Sin Young, playing the stoic and handsome member of Hyun Bin‘s North Korea squad, will be headlining the KBS drama Friend Contract opposite also relative newbie Kim So Hye best known for being a member of girl group I.O.I. KBS still does more high school dramas than the other two big networks and for 2020 its also developing new entry School 2020. Friend Contract is based on a webtoon so that helps on the structured narrative front. I don’t mind fresh faces and young talent for shows set in the high school years and this pairing has the potential to be quite cute even if they aren’t the best actors (yet).
we all knew this would happen but that was fast. He may not be the biggest break out of crash landing on you which had an excellent cast of surrounding characters but he sure was the best looking. Good luck duckling!

This sounds a 100 times better than that awful JCW drama and a fresh cast with a good plot is a winner over stale plot with fake A list actor. Idols and rookies get all the good offers.
